Selected Accomplishments

Collaborated on on-time launch of new Retirement Community. Galloway Ridge, Inc., lacked viable HR department for new startup. Recruited as Director to establish required HR processes. Led cross-functional teams, creating benefits packages and developing all company policies and procedures. Following a successful opening, assisted in recruiting program, cutting program costs 12%.

Directed effective and timely HR transition and audits. Brenntag Southeast just acquired new company. Assigned to merge all payroll and employee records and manage transition to a new 401 (k) administrator. Managed smooth transition with current 401(k) administrator, counter-part from merged company and new company department. Ran successful pre-merger and post-merger audits

Led timely, productive recruitment program for Strata Solar. Company was starting several new solar farm projects and required more than 150 contract employees. Worked with the local Employment Security Commission, setting up on-site recruiting fairs and coordinating with main staffing agency to facilitate timely interviews. Met all recruiting goals, enabling the project to launch on schedule.

Career History

Director of Human Resources, Carolina Office Systems (a Xerox company), April 2013 - present. Administers all Human Resources policies, programs and practices for four locations in three states. Manages Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and a highly-effective recruiting program. Maintains and administers employee benefits.

Human Resources Consultant, Strata Solar, December 2012- March 2013. Led recruiting effort to hire more than 150 contract employees in one month. Formulated general policies, updated the employee handbook and created pertinent job descriptions. Reviewed and proposed enhancements to the employee benefits program.

Director, State Council of the NC Society for HR Management, January 2011-December 2012. Led community outreach volunteer programs at local high schools and ESC/Job Link. Facilitated numerous job networking sessions with various organizations.

Director of Human Resources, Galloway Ridge, Inc., (Retirement Community), January 2005-October 2011. Facilitated and managed all facets of HR, leading to the successful opening of the Community.
