Summary
I am an experienced hospitality and leisure manager with extensive experience in directing, managing and service delivery for large urban restaurants and bars in the Ottawa, Ontario hospitality industry. I provided overall staff management including payroll and workforce scheduling for the establishments; directed and participated in bar operations; inventory purchasing, management and control; special event organization and direction; sales reporting and overall operations.
I created, implemented and managed multiple, unique marketing programs and special events which increased establishment(s) attendance by over 50% through detailed program planning, execution and measurement. Utilization of a variety of social networking and social media facilities greatly increased the success of the programs.
I am accustomed to dealing with VIP customers and have been successful in maximizing repeat business.
As an experienced hospitality manager, it was incumbent that the pertinent laws and regulations for the Province of Ontario were well known and understood, adhered to and communicated to all staff dealing with patrons to ensure not only the establishment’s legal compliance but also for the safety of both staff and patrons.
The environments managed are all large volume, high traffic restaurants and bars requiring a unique, multi-tasking ability; flexible management style and strong inter-personal skills.
A strong educational background (post-secondary), experience and work ethic are key to the successful operation of the establishments.
Career Aspirations:
• Manage and represent a diverse territory for a large scale distribution beverage supplier primarily in a major urban centre.
• Leverage my educational background and experience to build a strong client centered business relationship that benefits both “buyer” and “seller”.
• Utilize advanced social marketing programs to create a “force multiplier” to increase business volumes and maximize profitability.
• Build a career in the hospitality sector.
