Roles & Responsibilities:
Playing a pivotal part in Hardware.
Creates Schematic diagram and PCB design (Single layer, double layer & multi-layer designs) as per IPC standard.
Knowledge of designing Rigid-Flex PCB with RF components, ball-grid arrays, fine pitch and high pin density components.
Knowledge of BGA routing with blind, buried and micro via concept.

Review of new product design by integrating PCB design and mechanical & support on implementation.
Review & manage PCB Design, PCB Gerber, Mechanical, Product release documents, Engineering Change Order (ECO) & Deviation.
Understand the assembly process for NPI models and prepare the process Flow.
Interface with Design and production departments for necessary modifications in the process flow of component and to ensure that products are designed and documented for efficient manufacturing and testing.
Assess Contract Manufacturers (CM) and supply chain technical capability gaps.
Co-ordinates & support production unit from Product proto stage to Mass production / Product EOL.
Interacts with Suppliers, Vendors, Manufacturers & Customers.
Qualify suppliers & drive corrective actions from supplier quality engineers.
Technical life-cycle management (defect reduction team participation, new component qualification & selection, process efficiency and design changes etc.)
Prepares guidelines, test procedures, checklists, Work instructions, Assembly drawings & Manufacturing Process Specification.
Organize & Conduct training programs time-to-time to enhance the skills of the subordinates and relevant person/team as a result gain improved productivity.
Facilitate R&D new product development initiatives with key focus on QCD (Quality, Control & Delivery)

Product Engineering & Industrialization (PEI):
Creation of Schematic diagram & PCB design (Single layer, double layer & multi-layer designs) and working knowledge of DFM & PCB panelization.
3D part creation for electronic & mechanical components.
Perform all NPI engineering tasks required including interface direct to customer, design engineering, supply chain management and manufacturing to ensure the design is robust. Create and maintain/update BOM including components specification/AVL (verified components manufacturing/ manufacturing part number/Cost/lead times etc.), review customers part designed then complete DFM (Design for Manufacturability) evaluations during NPI process to provide design modify recommendations to Customer and Designer. Transfer design from R&D Engineering to Manufacturing.
Collect the first article report from the proto build units & check for any issues. Support & coordinate with relevant team to resolve any problems to produce good quality of products.
Implement process improvements and ensure bring up of lines for new NPI build processes are documented.
Perform all Manufacturing/Process/Production Engineering tasks required to support product accounts including develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence processes with the manufacture of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies such as through MAI (Manufacturing Assembly Instruction), BOM (Bill of Materials), ECO (Engineering Change Order), Deviation and design-problem resolution.
Support manufacturing unit on all manufacturing queries to manufacture good quality of products & to achieve target on time.
Responsible for the defined process flow, documentation and provide training to the relevant team for the integration of complex multilevel electro-mechanical assemblies of Semiconductor products including debug, trouble shooting and functional testing of PCBA’s & full products.
Work closely with Program Management, Quality, Testing, Production, Purchasing, Planner and team members to improve manufacturing process, qualities and reducing costs through the implementation of lean manufacturing methods.
Work with many external groups including customers, vendors and design contractor to determine product specifications.
Preparation of Product documents (BOM, Schematic diagram, PCB Gerber, Manufacturing assembly instruction, Label artwork, Cable drawing, mechanical 2D drawings, Test guidelines & Test procedures)
Knowledge of product certification logos and customization of product labels.
Manufacturing:
Handle a team including work force of Operators and Team Coordinators.
Play a pivotal part in handling the maintenance activity in SMT Production.
Plan day-to-day activities & WIP in production, monitored production schedules and allocating work for achieved monthly production targets.
Organize DFM meetings & provide training to engineers on critical areas to be taken care.
Train/Guide assemblers and technicians in machine operation and maintenance along with production start-up of new products to achieve customer satisfaction.
Provide engineering support to all activities in the product development process & assist manufacturing department and manage communication across all departments.
Responsible for the First article report (FIR)
Hands on experience in SMT assembly, Through-hole assembly, manufacturing process FMEA, QC, QA & Continual improvement activities.
Knowledge of Process Flow Chart; Process FMEA, Control Plan (Proto / Prelaunch / Production), Operator Instruction Aid, Visual Aids, Check Sheets, etc.
Participate in continuous improvement activities for achieving the targets defined.
Hands on experience in minimizing performance bottlenecks for achieving high productivity with optimum utilization of manpower, material & machine.
