Bodyshop Manager

Bodyshop Manager for the Groups BMW & Mercedes approved repair centre based in Cadam, Hampshire.

This is a stand-alone facility with 7 technicians currently producing in excess of 70k in labour sales per month. I am responsible for assuring compliance with, manufacturer agreements, industry guidelines & company policies& processes.

I have full responsibility for profit and loss within the departments.

Ensuring all daily and monthly targets are achieved or exceeded.

Manage and control WIP by utilising the DMS.

Managing efficiency, productivity and cycle time within the Bodyshop

Develop and grow the business through new business opportunities.

Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

ABL ACCIDENT REPAIR GROUP Aug 09 – July 14

Bodyshop Manager

Initially based at Redhill where I managed 2 stand-alone sites. The acquirement of the Portsmouth site allowed me to prove myself to the directors. I was fully responsible for budgetary and operational performance of the Portsmouth site. 7 technicians producing and completing an average of 40 repairs per week. The Portsmouth operation was run as a fixed cost site so repair over replace was paramount to the success of the site. After the initial setup we introduced our OneTouch Service. One expert technician, working in a dedicated OneTouch work bay, was responsible for all the work on a car. This allowed us to improve on our key to key times, lifecycle and lead times. We worked closely with our suppliers ensuring we used the latest products and techniques to ensure high quality repairs.

Motorcycle Repair Centre & Workshop Manager

Reporting to the Operations Director, this was an initial 3-month contract, extended to 6 months and eventually appointed as a permanent position.

Responsible for: -

12 Technicians, including Estimator and Workshop Foreman.

Damage assessment and repair estimation of motorcycles.

Negotiating repair costs with insurance engineers.

Stock control.

Implementing new procedures in the workshop, including Health and safety.
