ACADEMIC PROJECTS AND SEMINARS UNDERTAKEN:

Project: DESIGN AND MODELLING OF INBUILT CENTRE JACK SYSTEM.

Description: In today’s world, about 70% people rely on road transportation as medium of travel.The recent statistical studies shows a steep increase in number of vehicles produced each year, it can be even said that the number of vehicles may surpass the human population in upcoming years.Tyre punctures are very common nowadays and changing of tyres is very tedious job.Currently we employ an external srew jack system in lifting a vehicle. Inorder to overcome the difficulties faced by the current system,an Inbuilt automatic centre jack system is proposed. He/She can lift the vehicle by pressing a switch in the car.This system works using a lead screw mechanism,which is very simple, time saving and involves very less cost while manufacturing.The main components of the model are base, limbs, lead screw, pin, box nut, bearings and gear train.Once the switch is activated the blocks reciprocates on the lead screw and comes closer and stop beside the stopper on both sides and as a result the base touches the ground and enforces the vehicle to lift as sliding blocks comes more closer to each other.The shaft can be driven with the help of a high power AC brushless motor taking power from the vehicle battery itself. Another alternative is that we can derive the power from engine itself with the help of gear train connected between engine and mechanism. This system can’t be installed in present vehicles. A change in the chasis have to be made for this purpose.

Seminar: Case study on Air Cushion Vehicles(ACV).

Description: Nowadays as a result of global warming the amount of land area is reducing day by day. So raking improvements in the water voyaging can’t be a rejectamenta. One of the significant discovery for water transporting, military and naval purpose was Air Cushion Vehicles. These can be made use in land, air as well as water as sharing common purpose for transportation. The vehicle make use of the air filled between the hull and skirt to float in the water and the propellers enables forward and backward motion. The rudders are used to control the direction of the vehicle. Same configuration of vehicle can be used to guide the vehicle on land transport also. In southern cold icy regions this will prove very beneficial. Rail lines can be constructed for effective guidance and transportation. Air glided vehicles are also a variant of this ACV’s.
