WORK EXPERIENCE

Staff Production Engineer, Unit Corporation, Tulsa, OK Feb 2015 – July 2015

Worked with an older Permian well set riddled with inefficiency issues in the Midland Basin, cleaning up the billing structure and obscure routing issues, and identifying/addressing many HSE issues.

Made multiple field visits to get acquainted with field staff and check the status of wells, specifically requesting to visit wells far out on the circuit to get an accurate view.

Took up an initiative that was dropped by every other coworker who previously worked in the area to get the field staff up to date with technology and digital record keeping and HSE, and made good progress in jumping some of the hurdles to work together.

Senior Drilling Engineer, Unit Corporation, Tulsa, OK Mar 2011 – Feb 2015

Highly focused on tracking and improving operational efficiencies while minimizing outliers. This includes weighing the risk vs reward of potential improvements and assessing how well suited the team is to implement said changes.

Detail oriented and high level of communication with team (vendors, consultants, drilling contractor, geology, land, et cetera) leading to thorough, realistic, and efficient execution. In turn, wells are planned and drilled with heightened predictability on days and costs. Additionally, challenges, when they occur, are overcome more quickly and with less collateral damage. At the end of the day, this work/thought process (aka: way of life!) has led to a long-standing track record of outperforming Unit management's goals and milestones while saving days, costs, and NPT. Field Engineer (and continued Drilling and Completions Engineer), Unit Corporation, Tulsa, OK Sep 2008 – Mar 2011 Drilling and Completions Engineer, Unit Corporation, Tulsa, OK June 2007 – Sep 2008 Intern, Unit Corporation, Tulsa, OK Sep 2005 – June 2007 Derrickhand, Nabors Drilling, CO Dec 1999 – Apr 2003

Calculated/measured mud properties and adjusted chemical additives accordingly.

Repaired, maintained, and supervised mud pumps’ and other solids control equipment operational status.

Assisted driller and tool pusher in daily operations of drilling rig.
