Capital Project Experience

o$21m project: Lead purchasing manager for construction of new housing facility for secondary reheat furnace and minimized downtime between furnace operations and start up

o$6m project: Removed EAF furnace and added an EBT furnace to the facility. Originally quoted at $12m

oNumerous $3m – $10m equipment installation and upgrades. Some examples are 15 – 25 ton overhead cranes, heavy equipment purchases, VAR upgrades, and experimental cladding process.

Lead/Sole Negotiator for Corporate Electrode yearly purchase (67m/tons @ a starting price of $2.55/lb., purchased at an average of $1.99/lb. $37.5m in cost avoidance corporate wide).

Conduct negotiation and contract issues dealing with the division and on behalf of the corporate purchasing group.
