(PowerCenter and PowerExchange) and Netezza database using IBM's existing BDW (Banking Data warehouse model), which is more like ODS and a DWH fitting exactly into HDFC's EDW requirement. Currently the data for the bank is spread across the multiple systems like VP, FINONE, FINWARE, TPP etc. The project is focused on integrating all this information from different sources and building a single version of truth and provided data warehousing solutions to HDFC Bank using Informatica Power Center, Informatica Power Exchange, Metadata Manager, UNIX, Netezza and BDW Model.

Created Mappings in Informatica Designer to extract data from Heterogeneous data sources like Oracle, COBOL files, XML, Sybase and flat files and to load into the data warehouse with various types of transformations like Aggregator, Expression, Filter, Joiner, Lookup, External Procedure, Router, Sequence Generator & Update Strategy.

The primary purpose of Mahindra and Mahindra Enterprise Data Warehouse

(EDW) project is to consolidate business information from multiple regional and affiliate operational sources for decision making. EDW is a business critical data environment containing customer centric data from all systems throughout the enterprise. The data processed by these applications is deemed to be business critical (Order Management, Billing, Usage, Customer, Business, Wholesale, LightSpeed, Customer Support, etc.)

Flat files and XML files from several vendors arrive at the enterprise FTP location. Data is extracted from these flat files and loaded into staging Oracle tables. Data from these staging tables is then validated to check inconsistencies and output files generated. The output files are then sent to Mainframe using NDM (Network Data Movement) from where the data is loaded into Teradata tables.

Worked with various data warehouse modules like Informatica client tools like Designer, Workflow Manager and Repository manager.

Built mappings using different transformations: Aggregator, Expression, Router, Joiner, Source Qualifier, Look ups, Filter and creation of workflows.

Created scripts for flat file processing using UNIX.
