Hands-on experience with Automotive BIW Process design, Production of Industrial products, Mechanical

System/Equipment design and testing etc.

Strong skills in 3-D CAD (Solid) Modeling (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Pro/E and UG), DFMA, Finite Element Analysis (FMEA, ASM), Reverse Engineering (Rapid Prototyping) design, Mechanical Process Analysis.

Have experience on PLC (programmable logic control) programming and operation of NC machine.

Possess excellent troubleshooting skill, could work independently and manage multiple assignments.

Outstanding communication skills: Native speaker of Chinese, Full professional proficiency in English.

EDUCATION

Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA GPA: 3.8/4. 0 Aug.2014 – May.2016

M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering

Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China GPA: 3.6/4.0 Sep.2010 – Jun.2014

B.S. in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation Specialty

EXPERIENCE

SAIC Motor, Automotive Design and Manufacturing, Shanghai, China Jun.2015 – Aug.2015

Automotive Body Process Engineer Intern

Collaborated with colleagues on Project AS21 which focused on the design and analysis of MGGS’s body-in-white (BIW) and attended some meetings with colleagues to discuss with vendors about details of cooperation.

Calculated the average cycle time after going to the workshop to take the videos which recorded the manufacturing process (worker/manipulator) to estimate the number of output a day in each processing station.

Enhanced productivity by utilizing CATIA to disassemble the MGGS’s entire body into small components, then using Microsoft office to draw MGGS’s family tree which will save shop worker’s time to understand the assembly sequence of automotive.

Analyzed reliability of welding points of body-in-white in EP21, AS21 and IP31 by CATIA to improve the quality of body-in-white.

Found out and reported locations of welding points which existing welding guns of workshop cannot reach.

Studied the jointing effect based on arc, gas or resistance welding for auto body manufacturing and the different ways of body pattern assembly.

Zhejiang Huaguang Electronics, Electro-acoustic Manufacturing, Wenzhou, China July.2012 – Sep.2012

Production Assistant Intern

Collaborated with colleagues on the production of the 75-B connector (Main part: 3.5cm 1.5cm, [error: 0.01mm], One blind rivet, Two connecting parts) which is a small part of sound equipment.

Utilized AutoCAD to draw the 2-D mold (top-view and sectional view) of 75-B which is based on the requirements of customer and marked the main material [iron or copper] for 75-B, processing mode and date, etc. on the lower-left table of drawing.

Analyzed feasibility for mass production of 75-B connector after testing some samples (approximate 200) which were produced firstly.

Operated the automatic assemble machine to produce 75-B and reported the problems during the production.

Achieved hands-on experience in AutoCAD and machine operation from this practical industrial production.

Double-edge Grinder Design Project, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China Sep.2011 – Jan.2013

Research Assistant

Researched the existing Grinder, drew the assembly diagram and produced a grinder on that basis.

Took apart the Grinder and measured (Tools: Micrometer [error 0.01mm], Vernier caliper [error 0.1mm]), mapped, named and photographed the component parts.

Developed 2D and 3D models of components (such as former plate, parts of milling table, some unnamed parts of Grinder body) that can be applied to the Grinder with AutoCAD, Solidworks & UG.

Co-designed and simulated the assembly of Double-edge Grinder using Assembly Module and Motion Simulation Module of UG and Pro-E with the help of the videotape and constantly resurveyed the component parts and adjusted their drawings when necessary.

Improved techniques process for saving manufacturing time and costs (approximated $200).
