Concurrently managed all aspects of development and total build out for multiple 300 unit mid rise luxury condominiums from start to finish. Buildings were cast in place concrete construction on raft style foundations. Type of Construction: Oversee construction of 8 mid rise luxury condominium buildings of cast-in-place concrete construction concurrent with the construction of a college campus including student housing, lecture facilities, laboratories and state of the art mechanical systems.

Project Name: Ras Al-Khair Site Development

Saudi Arabia

Contract Amount: $240 Million

Type of Construction: Oversee site development and construction of roads, bridges, dry and wet utilities, storm water drainage systems, sea water cooling systems, high voltage and telecommunication distribution on 2,857 hectares of previously undeveloped land.

Project Name: Hollywood and Highland

Contract Amount: $78 Million

Type of Construction: Podium style, 270 unit, multi-family, apartment project with four levels of subterranean parking and 5 levels of wood frame with structural steel moment frames. Project encompasses a full city block while maintaining pedestrian and vehicle rightaways. Tight project site necessitated stringent material delivery schedule and creative construction management techniques. Coordinated, aggressive sub-trade buy-out of project resulted in over $3 million in savings.

Contract Amount: $223 Million

Type of Construction: Design build military family housing with a total of 1,400 dwelling units, 2 clubhouses, infrastructure, and various recreational facilities. Project included Type "V” wood framed construction, auger cast piles, post-tensioned concrete, extensive infrastructure, high water table difficulties, Federal government building codes, and toxic waste disposal. Required significant interaction with government agencies and military.

Schedule constraints required a 9-month construction period.

Type of Construction: 270,000 square foot combination luxury hotel and timeshare resort with podium style, three-story wood-framed structure atop subterranean parking. Separate on-site restaurant and extensive landscape and water features.

Project Name: Kona Kai Resort, San Diego, California

Contract Amount: $14,500,000.00

Type of Construction: Renovation and addition of 212 guest rooms to existing hotel and resort including seismic and ADA upgrades. Included addition/remodel of common areas and meeting rooms as well as exterior re-skinning. New tennis facility and subterranean parking structure. Site work included imported stone features, beach revitalization, pool/spa, and palm tree relocation.

Project Name: City Front Terrace, Downtown San Diego, California

Contract Amount: $53,000,000.00

Type of Construction: 13 story cast-in-place concrete condominium complex with a masonry and stone skin built in conjunction with the renovation of a 4-story historical building known as “The Soap Factory” into loft units. Included 4 levels of subterranean parking structure, toxic soils despoils and significant ground water abatement.

Project Name: Columbia Square, San Diego, California

Contract Amount: $12,800,000.00

Type of Construction: 251,000 SF commercial office building in downtown San Diego consisting of three levels of subterranean parking as well as 13 levels of office space. Structure was post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete with stucco and curtain wall glass system. Interior improvements were completed concurrent with shell construction.

Rancho Bernardo, California

Contract Amount: $15,100,000.00

Type of Construction: Podium style, 203,000 square foot retirement community with 200 apartments, a 65,000 square foot subterranean parking structure and a 240,000 square foot amenity building. Site improvements and buildings were constructed over an eight-acre site. Required OSA and OSHPD guidelines and approvals.

Project Name: Remington Club, Rancho Bernardo, California

Contract Amount: $14,100,000.00

Type of Construction: 190,000 square foot 146-unit luxury retirement community with 60,000 square foot structural steel, skilled nursing facility. Living unit consist of three-story wood framed construction, metal web truss floor system, plaster skin, complex emergency call monitoring systems, and quality finishes. Site work included extensive use of water features. Required OSA and OSHPD guidelines and approvals.

Project Name: Prospect Coast, La Jolla, California

Contract Amount: $3,500,000.00

Type of Construction: 45,000 square foot 17-unit luxury condominiums, consisting of 4-story structural steel and wood frame structure atop structural concrete subterranean parking in urban setting requiring soils shoring and extensive use of curves and angles in design.

Project Name: Schumacher Lab, Carlsbad, California

Contract Amount: $12,300,000.00

Type of Construction: 65,000 square foot renovation of chemical research and development lab including manufacturing facilities and 5,000 square feet of class 100-10,000 clean rooms, central plant with scrubbers and electronic manufacturing. Includes pressure grouting of foundation to stabilize existing structures.

Project Name: Community Psychiatric Center, Carlsbad, California

Contract Amount: $6,500,000.00

Type of Construction: 72,000 square foot psychiatric hospital with two-story structural steel, metal deck structure and plaster skin. Type of Construction: 320,000 square foot airport, cast-in-place structural/architectural concrete with masonry walls, pre-cast concrete double T’s. Complicated mechanical and electrical systems including alarm/security systems, extensive conveyor belt system, full service kitchen, aircraft handling equipment such as loading ramps, and extensive site improvement work. Project was for Port District and was continually inspected by three full-time resident inspectors.
