Grounding Crew- May 2000 to November 2000
Improved ground reading on existing wood pole “H” structures by installing ground rod and ground wire. Molded ground wire to ground rod and attached to existing ground wire. Operated Hilti Hammer to install ground rod and used Counterpoise Machine to bury ground wire. Entre final ground reading into Power Company hand-held computer.
Office Clerk- November 2000 to May 2001
Verified timesheets to ensure all employees and equipment were correct and accounted for, respectively, and faxed to main office. Coded invoices to be submitted for payment. Ran parts and tools to crew or to other jobsites. Answered incoming calls and assisted Project Superintendent as needed.
Office Administrator Trainee- May 2001 to June 2002
Responsible for administering pre-employment drug screen, facilitating New Hire Orientation, and collecting pre-employment paperwork. Ordering of oversized/over-weight permits, as required for moving equipment from section to section and jobsite to jobsite. Investigated incidents and accidents involving employees and took necessary steps for post incident/accident drug testing and medical attention, if required. Filed necessary reports to Irby’s home office and Power Company as outlined in contract. Participated in monthly Project Safety Committee Meetings to report on prior month’s incidents and accidents to determine if any safety policies or procedures were violated.
EXPERIENCE (CONT.) Office Administrator- June 2002 to September 2005
Set up of local charge accounts as needed for various job sites to include obtaining dumpsters, portable restrooms, and ensuring utilities were turned on. Established 911 address and physical address for USPS, UPS, and FedEx (Ground / Freight) deliveries. Assisted employee(s) with HR questions and any other issues they may have had. Established and maintained employee and vendor files for the field office. Assisted foreman with any special projects as needed to include marking locates for Dig-Alerts. Requisitioned tools and equipment as needed or required.
Assistant to the Superintendent September 2005 to October 2011
Worked directly with Project Superintendent on all aspects of job. Additional responsibilities included imputing time for employees for payroll and entering equipment maintenance records weekly. Tracked and documented crew progress and entered billable units into system to invoice the Power Company for payment. Coded and scanned invoices, generated locally, to accounts payable for payment. Captured any extra work that was outside the scope of contract, or requested by Power Company, in order to get timesheets signed by inspector.
Office Manager - October 2011 to December 2014
All the above described duties with an Office Administrator / Assistant to the Superintendent, and Clerk working under my supervision. Submitted monthly purposed progress forecasts to calculate determine company cash flow. Submitted monthly billable units and verified invoices to be submitted to Power Company for payment. In November and December of 2014, I worked in the capacity of a Safety Employee due to a shortage of manpower in the Safety Department. In this role, I ensured safety procedures were being followed.
TRAINING I have had extensive training on various policies and procedures, some of which I have completed several times. My training includes: management, First-Aid / CPR, Blood Bourne Pathogens, Defensive and Distracted Driving, Flagger, Grounding, Forklift, Crane Rigging and Signaling, Haz-Com, JTSA, GHS, Power Safe, Irby Safe, OSHA 10, and OSHA 30.
OTHER RELAVANT EXPERIENCES Over the years, I have been a part of numerous storm restoration projects, including Ice Storms in Arkansas and Oklahoma. My storm experience includes major hurricanes: Lily, Ivan, Katrina, and Gustav.
