Master of Electrical and Computer Engineering Dec 2015 California State University, Northridge, GPA: 3.74 Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication Jun 2012 Visvesvaraya Technological University, Cumulative GPA: 3.70 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Boston Scientific May 2015 – Aug 2015

Summer Research and Development Intern,

ASIC and FPGA Team

Design verification of different blocks such as timer blocks, watchdog block, interrupt vector block, pattern stimulation blocks, NVRAM and flash memory blocks of next generation spinal cord stimulator which was imaged on Virtex-7 FPGA VC707 Evaluation Kit.

Firmware Team

Development of firmware design for ARM processor-based SoC and other different blocks used in next generation spinal cord simulation system. Testing of PCB design via DMM and oscilloscope. Defense Bioengineering and Electro medical Laboratory Aug 2012 - Dec 2013 Contract Engineer- Embedded Technology Group,

Design and implementation of electro-pneumatic Single Outlet Resuscitator. A Single Outlet Resuscitator (SOR) is a device using positive pressure to inflate the lungs of an unconscious person who is not breathing, in order to keep him oxygenated and alive. The required air flow, pressure and breath per minute are monitored and controlled using interrupts. Micro controller C8051F120 (SiLab) controls the peripherals namely graphical LCD, air compressor (PWM), flow proportional valve (PWM), solenoids and sensors for pressure and flow control.

Development of Data Acquisition System (DAS) for Integrated Life Support Systems (ILSS) DAS dynamically acquire the data from different sensors mounted on to the ILSS and evaluates the behavior for different altitude conditions based on C8051F580 microcontroller. Pressure, temperature, airflow and humidity are monitored on timely basis. Zigbee is interfaced to the control unit for wireless transmission of data to a remote PC. National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL) Jan 2012 - Apr 2012 Undergraduate Intern,

Design and implementation of real time micro-controller based MAV (Micro Air Vehicle) launcher. MAV launcher tracks the MAV through GPS and stores the preflight conditions during the launch of the MAV. System uses ATMEGA168 microcontroller to control all peripherals namely 16x2 LCD, stepper motor, and sensors. PCB was designed using CadSoft Eagle PCB software.

California State University, Northridge Aug 2014 - Dec 2015 Student Assistant, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Assist engineering students with electronic components and tools

Assist professors during lab hours and grading.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Design and implementation of 64 bit ALU using VHDL Dec 2014 Behavioural modeling and structural modeling are used for the implementation of 64 bit ALU. Logical operations are bit by bit operations and are implemented using simple gates which operate independent of each other. All the mathematical operations in the ALU are incorporated and designed as a single unit. The project is designed and implemented using VHDL (FPGA) in Xilinx and is simulated using Modelsim

Noise reduction using Gaussian blur technique Jan 2015 Behavioural modelling is used for the implementation of Gaussian filter. The input image and kernel matrix are converted to .coe using MATLAB. The values are stored in the BRAM and processed and again stored in BRAM. Using FIFO the processed value are written to a .txt file. Again MATLAB is used to display the image. The project is designed and implemented using VHDL (FPGA) in Xilinx and is simulated using Modelsim.

Implementation of different electronic interfaces with 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 Feb 2015 Programming of electronic interfaces such as LCD, motors etc. on Tiva™ C Series TM4C123 launch pad using µVision

– Keil with both assembly and C programming.

Micro-controller based emulation using ATmega 328 Sep 2015 Design and implementation of virtual world on the personal computer. The sensor interfaced with the micro-controller detects the shape, dimension and color of the objects and process the data and send serially to the computer. This processed data are again further processed by the computer to display on the screen using Virtual python.

Implementation of convolutional encoder and Viterbi decoder using MATLAB May 2014 The encoder accepts the information sequence to generate the encoded sequence using the generator matrix specified by the user. The decoder accepts the encoded sequence and the information sequence is traced back by computing the branch metric and path metric.

Home security system Jul 2012

A GSM based security system that is reliable and user friendly, possess automatic emergency care response. It detects smoke, LPG leakage etc. using various type of sensors and informs the user on their mobile phone via text messages and gives an alarm indication. It has the ability to automatically switch ON/OFF electric appliances and devices as per user’s requirement.

Light sensing robot Jun 2011

Robot senses the light even when the light source is in the motion and move towards the light source. Using Audio amplifier LM 386 signals are compared from the two light sensors. Decision about the direction of motion is based on the result of comparison.
