Duties include but not limited to the following,

• Provide sound HSE advice to the OIM & HODs on the EPV Balai Mutiara (BM).

• Mentor all Crew members on the BM in safe and environmentally acceptable actions and processes in the vessel operation.

• Audit on-going HSE performance and processes on the BM including vessel manager HSE KPIs.

• Provide medical services of a certified life support practitioner

• Act as senior HLO on the BM.

• Facilitate induction and on-going HSE training for all personnel on the BM.

• Facilitate HAZID’s risk reviews, JSAs and other HSE related workshop processes on the BM.

• Ensure all concepts of the Case for Safety and BM Hazard register are understood by all members of the BM and take responsibility for maintaining them up to date.

• Facilitate BM safety meetings.

• Assist OIM in management of emergencies and incidents.

• Investigate all HSE incidents on the BM and ensure they are properly investigated and actions emanating from the incidents are effectively closed out.
