PROJECT DETAILS
• STUDIES IN CONCEPTUAL SIZING OF AN AIRCRAFT VEHICLE SYSTEM Description :
Constraint analysis is used to select the design wing loading and thrust loading prior to performing mission analysis. This is done by plotting a constraint diagram of thrust loading vs wing loading for all the mission segments – take-off, climbing, cruising and landing. After the constraint diagram has been plotted, a feasible design point is chosen of appropriate thrust loading and wing loading which meets all the design mission requirements of the aircraft.
The mission analysis is used to determine the gross weight of an aircraft for the selected feasible Design point through Constraint analysis.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
CAREER OBJECTIVE
Duration : Starting from late August 2015 – March 2016 Role : I was in charge of analyzing the Constraint and Mission Analysis for a given aircraft. Team Size : 4
Mini Project (TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT WEIGHT ESTIMATION AS A FUNCTION OF RANGE AND NUMBER OF PASSENGER)
Description : The purpose of this is to introduce a technique to obtain the first estimate of the
maximum take-off weight for an aircraft
before it is designed and built.
To determine the Transport Aircraft
Weight Estimation as a Function of Range
and Number of Passengers for various
types of aircrafts such Airbus A319-100,
A340-600, Boeing 737-700, 767-300ER,
767-400ER etc.
To obtain the Estimation of maximum
take-off weight (MTOW) results at a fast
and an accurate maximum take-off weight
estimation with an average error of 5-
10%.
Duration : 3 months
Role :
To estimate the maximum take-off weight for selected aircrafts using an empirical equation.
