Designed fundamental and advanced programs with C and Java code using concepts such as complex data structures, stacks, queues, binary trees
Developed MATLAB and Simulink skills with several industrial standard Matlab functions for solving systems of multiple equations, finding relationships between multiple variables and using graphical techniques to stimulate large electrical and mechanical systems
Designed analog circuits such as BJT based cascade amplifiers, Op-Amps, filters and oscillators & conducted testing on breadboards using oscilloscopes, multi-meters and frequency generators
Competent with assembling, soldering and testing microcontroller boards such as JeeNodes
Designed and implemented a 3D project with AutoCAD by utilizing Industrial 3D printers to make prototypes
Power user of Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and experience in preparing technical reports, tabulating and analyzing data, as well as for technical presentations
Knowledgeable in DSP (Digital signal Processing by completing a major lab projects
Good understanding of RF technologies such as 4G LTE, GSM, EDGE, UMTS and GPRS by completing several hands on labs and courses.
Understanding of EM wave transmission in different media and relevant impedance matching and transformation techniques
Knowledge of electrostatics, magneto statics, magnetic circuits, transformers and AC/DC motors
Communication / Teamwork and Leadership Skills
Wrote an engineering report on a subject of “Fiber Optics” and experience in technical writing, and proofreading with a background in advanced engineering
Effective team player and demonstrated leadership in a team environment by supervising and motivating the staff members to work at their best ability
Presented technical projects in front of large technical and non-technical audiences. Used interactive strategies to highlight the importance of designing projects that allows easy comprehension
Provided project management leadership for the “Water Quality Monitoring System” project in planning, scheduling meetings, and ensuring work items were completed on schedule and used Google Docs as repository for documents and reports
Identified risk factors and developed a strategy for risk mitigation
Major Accomplishments and Applied Projects
Water Quality Fiber Optic Monitoring System using FBG September 2015 – April 2016
Assigned as team leader of a group of six on a project to design a “Fiber Optic water monitoring system”, which would help hydro Ottawa in testing and detection of any chemical impurities and temperature changes in drinking water
Lead hardware and CAD designer. Designed multiple prototypes using AutoCAD and industrial 3D printers
Successfully worked in a team of six, developed communication and teamwork skills, along with technical report writing and presentation skills
Helped in the design of tilted Fiber Bragg grating sensors used to successfully detect the temperature of water and impurity simultaneously
String motion and Advanced theory of Random-motion January 2015 – April 2015
Worked with a client to generate artistic visualizations of moving strings connected to linear sliding motors controlled by microcontrollers wirelessly
Designed the linear sliders with the H bridge circuit along with a power amplifier to make a compact design for a high-speed rotating object
Microcontrollers such as Jeenodes and Arduinos were programmed and compiled to communicate with each other to make wireless communication possible
Work Experience
Telesat Corporation June 2014 – August 2014
IT department and solutions (Summer student COOP, Ottawa, Ontario)
Acquired CGP clearance as an IT specialist and helped in the development of satellite communication software
Gained crucial knowledge about Java, learning about design patterns that were used to develop the software to communicate between satellite signal receivers and server clients
Supported the development of responses to customers’ Request for Information and/or Request for Proposals documents
Assisted in performing analysis and calculations relating to satellite communication system parameters, such as capacity calculations and link budgets
Actively participated in development activities that included coding, testing and proper documentation
Refined existing applications with a goal of improving performance, layout, and accessibility
Ex-Sell Sales and Merchandising November 2013 – Present
