Presided over and conducted hundreds of administrative unemployment insurance
benefits hearings which required independently questioning all relevant witnesses, and
providing parties the opportunity to present evidence and oral arguments.
Made rulings on objections and motions during the course of the hearing.
Conducted record reviews, evaluated testimony, arguments, and evidence of all parties,
researched legal and administrative decisions and opinions to determine their bearing on
the case, and interpreted laws, regulations, policies, and standards relevant to the case.
Prepared and issued legally binding decisions for a resolution on the case in a timely

Headed the Logical Reasoning Committee requiring review and editing of current

Researched landlord evictions for breach of a lease in government subsidized housing;
successfully negotiated with a landlord to allow a low-income Section 8 Voucher client
to finish out a lease in an eviction case.
Performed research and drafted memoranda on independent contractor status and right to
payment for services performed used in preparation for filing a case on behalf of a client.
Provided legal services at El Centro Humanitario, a workers rights non-profit
organization in Denver, to migrant workers and low-income individuals in the
community on issues of employment and right to compensation complicated by illegal
alien status.
