Role: IT Business Analyst

NITKis a Public Engineering University, often known as REC (Regional Engineering College).It is recognized as Institute for National Importance.Research in the institute is mainly sponsored by central and state government. The scope of this project was to implement a mobile login module for student information system having grades,attendance,online fee payments with internet banking by reframing the existing web portfolio and adding new security features. It included different levels of authentication like the 2 factor Authentication (2FA) and the process had to identify new user, existing user, calculation of risk factors etc.

Responsibilities:

Developed project schedules, timelines, status, system schematics and process work flows using MS Project.

Defined the scope of the project and developed a vision plan that defined the primary goals and objectives of the project.

Developed Process Flows, Activity diagramsand Use Cases to depict the business processes.

Database Administration tasks such as database Backup/Restore, Metadata maintenance, User/login setup, Disk space management.

Responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, control and completion of the project.

Writing the design documents and Making recommendations based on the Personify Architecture to meet client’s requirements.

SRM University is an educational private university in India.Apart from education and being a research institute, SRM University is also diverse in transportation.SRM Transports providing bus transport in all over India, selected researches for the creating,developing and production of e-transport website portal of the university. The aim of the project was to bring under one umbrella all the functionalities and BI assets of the university into one single repository which could solve the firm’s data needs. I was responsible for development and testing of the web services and web designing.As an IT Business Analyst, I was involved with the creating Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), Functional Specification Documents (FSD) by analyzing requirements, reaching out to clients and customers in detail analysis. As the part of the technical team, responsible for analyzing the data, data validations using SQL and Micrsoft Visual Studio2008/2010.

Responsibilities:

Interviewed the clients to gather business requirements and provided input on possible non-technical solutions.
