a) Project Description
Designing and Development of Servo Motors.
Role: Team member
• Analyze the customer requirement for the motor and collect the input for creating a Preliminary layout of the motor.
• Preliminary design of key components of motor by performing calculations such as calculation for minimum diameter of shaft, Calculation of critical speed of shaft, Stator and rotor shrink fit, Bearing life calculation, Magnet gluing strength, Glass fiber banding strength and Strength of mounting bolts.
• Conduct a DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to evaluate the design
• Implement the results of DFMEA into the design and perform a detailed design of each component using FEA and calculations.
• Finalizing the design of the motor and performing the modeling and Drafting of the drawings.
• Applying Tolerance and Stack up Analysis.
