Care for a patient before, during and after a medical procedure or surgery by performing a patient assessment, preparing the patient for anesthesia, administering and maintaining the anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management, overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia and caring for the patient's immediate post-operative needs.

BASIC FUNCTION:
1.Provide medical care and primary emergency care in emergency cases, to all personnel on board the facility.
2.Provide basic HSE function on board the facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO PREVIOUS / CURRENT DEPLOYMENT
1.Operate and maintain the rig’s hospital, medical facility and other medically related equipments.
2.Maintain accurate medical records of personnel onboard, i.e. blood group, Allergies, medical history, et cetera. Ensure records accompany personnel in the event of a medical evacuation.
3.I do monthly checklist of all medical equipment and ensure serviceability of all hospital and emergency medical equipment on board of the facility. And take immediate step to rectify any deficiencies.
4.Ensure good record keeping of medication and materials – check expiry dates and prepare requisition when required of medical supplies and medical equipment.
5.Maintain accurate records of controlled/ dangerous drugs – ensure the security of these drugs and submit updated record to the OIM and GMS manager on a monthly basis.
6.Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping of medical facility and associated areas.
7.Advise the OIM and Coordinating Doctor should there be of any need for a medial emergency evacuation of injured/sick crewmember.
8.Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical and records under their care.
9.Liaise with the Coordinating Doctor of the company as and when required as per standard procedures.
10.Perform weekly hygiene and inspections of all accommodation, Toilets, public bathrooms, cabins, storerooms, etc… report deficiencies to supervisor
