Provided customization, reporting and maintenance support of Flexcube Banking application on Oracle 11g database / AIX Unix.
Major Contributions
Divided the system development unit into three streams: “Maintenance”, “Reporting” and “Projects”. This allowed for more effective allocation of resources and provided the business with more responsive service.
Implemented in house training plan were each team member would perform cross training to ensure the team is exposed to various systems and technology. This approach resulted in reduction in training expense as less external training was utilized while maintain the level of training required.

Led team charged with designing and implementing all 13 interfaces between the Flexcube UBS (formerly iFlex) Core banking system and all pre-existing satellite systems within the banking environment.
Managed the implementation of the FTS (Bevertec) ISO8583 Switch within FGB network.
Managed the implementation of Flexcube Direct banking (Internet banking Application).
Responsible for data warehouse maintenance and all fulfilling reporting requests made by business units.
Performed vendor management role for all customization requests raised with OFSS (vendor).
Major Contributions
Prepared the requirements specifications for the Interface between Flexcube core banking system and Oracle Financials application (Oracle Suite). Along with the inputs of the development team and the operations business unit I also prepared the design document for the interface along with the user guide lines to be followed by the end users (IT Operators). This interface resulted in a reduction of the GL Extract refresh from 4 hours for completion to 45 minutes thus increasing the efficiency of completing EOD activities by Computer operators.
Collaborated with OFSS Vendor to design, implement and document an automated process for transferring and processing SWIFT messages between the core banking system and the SWIFT international network. This interface allowed of the real-time and straight through processing of incoming and outgoing SWIFT message for bank to bank wire transfers. Result of this process was less time spent by end users (back office) posting SWIFT messages manually into core banking system.
Implemented “CheckPlus” Cheque Printing application within FGB and interfaced it with the Flexcube Internet Banking system. The result of this project allowed the FGB internet banking customers to request manager’s cheques online, and indicate the desired branch where cheque is to be printed. Cheques are printed real time at the remote branch selected. Customer can then pick up the ordered cheque or draft resulting in improved convenience for customers.
Collaborated with Bevertec vendor during the configuration, setup and customization of the ATM/POS Switch (FTS) which allowed for the routing and processing of ISO8583 messages from the local central ATM/POS network “Multilink” within Jamaica. Design recon reports to assisting in the troubleshooting of this interface and reconciliation of transactions by Operations team.

Major Contributions
Designed data extraction scripts to allow for the data migration/transformation of all banking accounts and customer data from previous I-Bankr application to new Finacle Banking system (Infosys). Data migration was conducted along with the consultant from Infosys using COBOL based extract scripts and PL-SQL upload procedures.
Managed the development team for the redesign of the Account Opening module within the core banking application, to realize improved process efficiency. New web application was developed as an extension to the Finacle system to capture account opening data. This optimization enables real time access to all electronic banking channels and reduced the account opening process significantly, thus making the Customer Service representative more efficient.
Designed, developed and managed the implementation of a credit card rewards tracking system created in VB6 with SQL server database. System is used by NCB credit card unit to manage customer’s accumulated points as well as redeem rewards.
Designed stored-procedures to execute the structured archiving and purging of banking data from production database. This resulting in the reduction of space used by database on production server thus maintaining systems optimal performance.
