We serviced all military and civilian personnel assigned and or located within the installation, and this was a very large number of personnel, military alone was approximately 45,000 personnel, and all of this work we performed was handled on a daily basis. I completed many training courses which was mandatory for me as a Supervisor in the Official Mail section, and it was also part of my ongoing education in all areas of my job requirements. Manager: Ms. Claire Iko
PARTS MANAGER/SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Initially hired as a Parts Clerk/Dispatcher for Hobart Corporation at the local office in Honolulu, Hawaii. So, I was hired to start up the Parts Department from scratch and eventually the inventory was built up to about $250,000 in parts and equipment for all the service technicians that worked in the Service Department. I was promoted to Parts Manager after a few years, and then we eventually moved to a larger office location in Aiea, Hawaii. At that point in time, I was offered the chance to get into the Sales Department which I did, however, after working in this position for a short time, there was a major downsize for all Sales Personnel, simply because Kraft Foods, Inc, bought out the company at that time, according to my information. So, I was released from my employment and moved onto other opportunities.
As a Sales Representative, my primary function was to do sales calls to all existing and new clients that had bought or about to purchase various types of Hobart food equipment. I was assigned specific geographical areas in Honolulu, HI, and made daily sales calls to all current clients and made contact with all of them in the course of a month's time. So, it was basically contacting all types of food outlets, restaurants, deli shops, grocery stores, bakeries, and other locations that utilized the food equipment produced by the Hobart Corporation.
Hobbies: Photography/Carpentry
I initially started the pursuit of photography work many years ago in my early twenties, and started out with a Minolta Camera, and just started to shoot all types of pictures, from plants, animals, landscapes, architecture, real estate, and everything else in between. I have always had the deepest passion for photography work, so, it has always been a major hobby of mine for the past 40 - 50 yrs, for sure. Over the past ten years or so, I have done various types of photo shoots, from weddings, families, models, singles, couples, children, male models, etc., etc. I am currently retired at the moment, but, I am searching for some part time or full time work in the photography field, and through the years, I have learned a lot of my own skills and abilities by simply trial and error. I currently own and utilize a CANON EOS-1, Mark II N, Camera, and have been shooting off and on since 2007 here in Arizona. I do not have a ton of pictures to share, but, I do have some pictures if anyone might be interested in checking out the type of photography that I have done in the past. I love to do all types of carpentry work, it is great just working on all types of personal projects, whether I would be making a night stand, coffee table, bookshelves, and many other things that I love to build and create in my workshop -
