Director of Operations/Terminal Manager – August 2014 – January 2016

I was responsible for daily operations and performance of logistics, including off-site facilities. Supervised operations team to ensure KPI’s were achieved. Managed all in/outbound shipments of freight, focusing on revenue per mile. Managed and took ownership of all inventory processes and controls within the terminals. Developed relationships with external logistics partners to target sustainable cost reduction, service level improvements, and maintenance of quality levels. I developed reports and KPI criteria to evaluate logistics partners at regular intervals. Maintained effective communication with internal departments. I was able to restore confidence with core customers to ensure on-time deliveries. I let safety meetings and assisted drivers in decreasing their CSA score, resulting in lowering the company CSA score.

My responsibilities included working with safety director in the recruiting and driver retention areas. I worked with H.S.E. director to enhance staff efficiency through training programs both locally and regionally. Worked with operations to enhance reload capabilities and increase per mile revenue. I handled driver payroll and maintained effective communication with billing department to ensure accuracy of paperwork.
