PROJECT ENGINEER (MECHANICAL), April 12 ~ Present

WSP CANADA, Calgary, Canada

(Working on Cenovus Energy Narrows Lake SAGD Project)

Responsible for making complete packages for different SAGD equipment like IGF, FWKO, After filters, ORFs, Storage tanks, Pumps etc. including mechanical datasheets and specifications including electrical, instrumentation and civil specifications as well.

Used CSAZ662 and B31.3 to work on Narrows Lake interface piping with other EPCs as a Project Manager and WSP representative.

Performed cost savings for various equipment by selecting more economical and efficient options.

Managed entire piping interface project from Cenovus Energy well site to CPF (Central processing facility).

Performed process calculations and prepared equipment datasheets and technical specifications for equipment related to SAGD process complying process requirements as well as Engineering Codes and Standards such as ASME Sect VIII and B31.3.

Acted as a liaison between Client (Cenovus Energy) and WSP to completely comply Cenovus project specifications and requirements in all technical documents as well as P&IDs.

Developed Request for quotations for various packages for Vendor to submit their proposals.

Developed technical bid evaluation (TBEs) of Vendors’ proposals and technical drawings and reviewed

compliance with Cenovus technical specification and WSP technical documents

Worked with client to perform reliability and maintainability of new equipment and installations by using

LCAM (Life cycle asset management), RCA (Root cause analysis) and RCFA (Root cause failure analysis).

Developed engineering solutions to failures occurred in the past projects and can affect plant functionality and worked on feasibility study for Phase 1B.

Planned and execute construction and maintenance of above ground, fixed roof, floating roof and floating screen storage tanks of different capacities during new construction as well as in mechanical repairs.

Carried out laying and mechanical maintenance jobs of different piping networks relevant or irrelevant to storage tanks with the help of engineering drawings and engineering codes (API, ASME).

Checked engineering drawings of mechanical jobs involved in project and coordinated with designing department to make sure all engineering drawings are up to the requirement and suitable for site.

Prepared design work and repair plan for indicated tanks and new projects using planning and designing software.
