Simon Thorpe – Offshore and remote medic, Paramedic Practitioner and instructor
HSE QC (client representative) / HSE Manager, Trained HSE auditor
"I am a confident and competent person who is very dedicated to my work as an HSE professional, and also my own continuous professional development. My work has taken me to various challenging on and offshore remote locations, and I enormously enjoy these diverse environments. I currently enjoy a very balanced work situation, as I work offshore/remote and develop the HSE side of my career path, and when I am off rotation I work as a Paramedic Practitioner in A&E in the UK, and offshore. Both types of work allow me to keep my hand in on training new crew which is something I enjoy and feel passionately about. I have always had a passion for developing safe practices and maintaining environmental protection standards at various global locations in an array of roles. In the last two years I have also been working with Medaire as a consultant and instructor in marine and aviation medicine, which means I am also able to pass on my experience in a training environment”.

This was and remains a big passion of mine, and I am lucky enough to be doing it in a range of capacities. I am working for Medaire, teaching on the luxury yachts and also the private jet crews, and in between these assignments I am working on the road as a Paramedic, on response cars, Ambulances, and also within A&E itself.
