Encouraged and influenced the early development and adoption of a business unit wide Vision initiative with related KPI deliverables and scorecard tracking. The Canada facility has consistently been a benchmark in key metrics. On-time delivery 100%, plant-wide PPM less than 15, Inventory turns over 50, Productivity 100%, and constant kaizen and lean improvement activities with an extremely high level of employee engagement.

Oversaw the development and execution of continuous improvement projects to drive increased profitability. This included supplier negotiations, waste elimination in existing processes, process/product design changes, increased selling prices through product performance enhancements, and discretionary expense management; resulting in an average of $1.6 million in profit improvements per year over the last seven years.

Fostered and developed the manufacturing environment that played a key role in gaining Toyota business in 2003 and evolving into a trusted key supplier over the past 10 years. A proactive customer working relationship supported by sustained quality, delivery and pricing performance, has led to CTS product being designed into 88% of Toyota vehicles produced in North America.

Spearheaded the commercialization of direct-drive actuator technology for the business unit from 1999-2001. Built and directed the team that designed and developed the products, the manufacturing processes and commissioned all tooling and equipment for the successful launch and execution of multiple programs generating $100 million in profitable sales.

Active industry networking, sharing and benchmarking over the past 15 years through the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and various local Lean Consortiums, leading to the Canada plant being a destination tour site for the North American AME conference twice, winning best tour site in 2003. Since 2009 activities have been sustained through engaged participation (7 events per year) in Region 8 of the Bluegrass Automotive Manufacturers Association (BAMA), a Toyota supplier group.
