PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE

Application Engineer – Non Ferrous Foundry, FOSECO, INDIA July 2013 to July 2015

Did a team project with Alicon Castalloy Limited, India to efficiently manufacture alloy wheels for Yamaha two wheelers by achieving efficient degassing of molten Aluminum with a new technology called MTS; MTS is a metal treatment station where degassing and cleaning of molten metal takes place in a single step operation thus saving time and not allowing any human interference in between these two steps.

Worked on Cummins generator cover closely with Amtek Auto limited team to improve casting strength and eliminate pinholes which appear after machining. To improve the mechanical properties we doped the molten metal with Titanium-Boron metallic alloy, which releases nucleants to promote fine grain structures throughout the molten metal thus improving the mechanical properties of the cast Aluminum alloy. For elimination pin holes an efficient degassing process was adopted with highly efficient rotors.

Designing and developing a 3D printable Otoscope, a device used to examine ear canal and tympanic membrane. This Otoscope would be DIY and can use the left over charge in batteries to power itself.

To study the intergranular corrosion on Austenitic stainless steel when boiled in Copper-Copper sulfate- 16% sulfuric acid mixture. Stainless steel of 316 grade was exposed to the mixture in different conditions and macrostructure report was prepared for all the samples under study.
