Inventory Manager
Managed forty storeroom and four warehouse inventories across different ship platforms and land base locations.
Conducted numerous 100% location audits and inventories on a combined total of over 300,000 SKU line items.
Trained all Logistic personnel on the proper procedures for spot inventorying, stock checks, issuing, reordering, and receiving. Always keeping our inventory and location audits at 100%.
Created and implemented first in first out (FIFO) Excel database ensuring expired material were not issued, and stock reorders were accomplished.
Selected Accomplishments:
Upon my arrival on USS Gettysburg. I Conducted a 10% spot inventory on 25,000 line items. It was discovered the ship was off by 40%. Devised and implemented a plan to rectify inventory while the ship was underway, by first training personnel on the proper procedures for receiving and stowing. Next conducting a 100% location audit. Supervised a 100% inventory, investigating discrepancies, adjusting records and stock reorders accordingly. Efforts lead to ship being awarded best practice on our next logistics inspection, freeing up logistics personnel during in port time to work other issues, and saved the Navy over 1M.
Material Control Manager
Supervised over twenty personnel on proper ordering, receiving, inspecting, stowing, preservation, packaging, shipping, and issuing materials and cargo.
Maintained inspect ready records and logs on all shipments and orders.
Tracked high priority requisitions across the world, worked with foreign logistic counterparts to have materials pier side day of arrival.
Selected Accomplishments:
Team leader in a lean program formed to test, review, write, and implement all standard operating procedures (SOP) and training when US Navy used my command as a test bed to launch AIM Vision Chain Management

Professional Experience (Continued)
(SCM). My teams SOP’s and training were adopted by the US Navy when launching SCM at other commands. My leadership and efforts awarded me a Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal.
Warehouse Manager
Maintained four warehouses located in three different countries. All with diverse types of material (general stores, auto, ship and aircraft repair parts).
Oversaw two shifts, with a combined total of twenty personnel. Conducted shift changes insuring all procedures and jobs were completed.
Improved warehouse functionality by implementing first in first out, like item stowage locations, and easy accessibility to high moving items. Results were a 60% decrease in customer wait times.
Selected Accomplishments:
During a 12-month tour in Afghanistan I was in charge of a 10,000 square foot warehouse. No inventory or stock reorder system was in place, creating a bottleneck of lost time and money searching to see if parts were on hand. Created and populated an Excel database of all warehouse line items, resulting in 70% of orders discovered to be on hand. Using my system, 60% of vehicles waiting on parts could be fixed, saving the government over $250,000 dollars. Efforts awarded me to be team leader on the design, layout, and functionality on a brand new 100,000 square foot warehouse. Also awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal for my accomplishments.
Government Purchase Card Coordinator
Holder of government purchase credit card for six years. Reviewing, processing, ordering, completing, and submitting for monthly reviews four thousand individual credit card purchases for two Navy commands.
Followed Navy regulations ensuring proper material was ordered and money thresholds were never crossed.
Selected Accomplishments:
During a purchase review I discovered the seller was not an approved vendor. Upon digging deeper it was uncovered that the company was a front for the customer inputting the orders. Individual was able to get away stealing over three thousand up to that point. All information was turned over to the command and Navy Crime Investigative Service (NCIS). US Navy was able to recoup the three thousand that was paid to the individual, hold training on ethics and morals, and implement an improved vendor listing. My findings saved the Navy an undetermined amount in future fraudulent orders and was awarded a Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal.
