The BCBS (Basel Committee on Banking Supervision) Project, being executed by the biggest Financial Institute in the US, to ensure compliance with the Reporting and SOR (System of Record) requirements which has a deadline of January 2016. The Project involves a major revamp of the Reporting structure and environment along with the Data Warehouse.
Phase 1:
Comprehensive interactions with the Client’s Leads at all levels of the Project and Process Management.
Worked closely with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and the report owners to identify data aggregation requirements through review of reports critical to decision-making.
Led the process of Report Decomposition with the various SMEs for various reports involving the kickoff meetings with the SMEs, Project Manager(s) and the Business Analysts.

Among the several compliance guidelines, SSFA (Simple Supervisory Formula Approach) is required by the bank to generate information to calculate RCAP. The SSFA calculation checks the delinquency of the securities based on asset classes from the (RDR) Risk Data Repository and requests the data from several third party vendors i.e. Intex, Bloomberg, ResiLoan, ABSNet, etc.
Responsibilities:
Gathered business requirements for the features needed by the users in the proposed system based on data sourcing from third party vendors automatically.
