Responsible for improvements in Metrology functions and ISO/TS 16949 QMS deployment at a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer based on India, manufacturing Aluminum die cast parts for leading OEMS including BMW, Daimler Trucks, Volvo, Honda, Ford and Cummins. Specific accomplishments include:
Lead a team of around 28 people in running 4 metrological labs, critical to daily plant delivery.
Initiated Cycle time reduction projects to reduce lead time by 60% in the dimensional inspection process in Metrology Labs, enabling in Capex saving of INR 4 million in new equipment procurement.
Improved retrieval time from 3 hrs to 10 minutes in a gauge storage facility housing over 15,000 gages and instruments through implementation of 5S practices and online traceability system.
Commissioned Metrology facilities for a new site location within a lead time 6 months.
