I am currently employed as a Credit Controller at Dr L.T Usaiwevhu surgery, I was promoted to this post on January 01, 2015. The main focus of my current job is:

Capture data for account in a timely manner ensuring appropriate account number and line coding is used

Communicate with appropriate medical aids regarding outstanding accounts

Communicate with appropriate patients regarding outstanding accounts

Communicate with Debt Collectors regarding outstanding accounts

I prepare paper claims every second Wednesday for Medi-express to pick up on Thursday

I was employed as a Data Capturer by Dr LT Usaiwevhu Practice. The main focus of my job was:

Daily startup of the system, backup and troubleshooting.

Maintain clients/patient’s files in the system.

Updating of incoming patient data and hospital patients.

Create and maintain an appointment diary daily.

Check availability of medical benefits with ICD 10 codes, daily on all the patients before consultation.

Operate switchboard and take messages as required.

Follow up outstanding accounts with medical aids

Responsible for ordering and taking of stock (stationery and medication) for the Practice.

Handle additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Establish and manage customer relationships, within prescribed policy and procedural guidelines; investigate and resolve or refer problems and queries, as appropriate.

Communicate effectively in a prompt, courteous and service-oriented manner to assure the required standards for customer contact and protocol are met.

I had been in this position since April 2009 and signed a permanent contract on January 2010 up until I got promoted on January 01, 2015 as a Credit Controller. Through my working experience I have enhanced and developed my analytical ability and an affinity for problem solving. The opportunity of working with patients has enabled me to sharpen my interpersonal skills and to develop an immense appreciation for cultural diversity. I work well under pressure and although I am a team player I am very capable of working on my own; and to make sound decisions regarding work and responsibilities.
