Director Logistics
Held full operational and P&L responsibility for major supply chain customer accounts including Hewlett-Packard, Imperial Tobacco, Kodak, and Laird Technologies.
Led the operational efforts to acquire five Eastman Kodak distribution centers (300 employees) and convert them to the Ryder operating model. Ran this flagship account day to day with full operational and P&L responsibility. Orchestrated the conversion from Kodak Warehouse Management system (KWICS) to the Accellos Warehouse Management System (WMS), conducting the gap analysis, functional design and configuration of the system. Instituted Lean Guiding Principals management process in all buildings. Implemented a profit margin tracking tool to accurately report individual location financial result against plan based on daily activity.
Gained International experience with Imperial Tobacco account in Montreal, Quebec, consisting of five distribution centers across Canada and $70M+ in annual revenue. Served as troubleshooter: corrected deficiencies in the PKMS warehouse management system configuration, made changes and corrected serious inventory accuracy issues. Modified operating procedures and increased inventory accuracy from 80% to 99.5%+ and fill rates to 99.9% within 45 days. Developed all DM metrics and kpi reporting to exceed customer’s contractual metrics.
Led the conversion from Hewlett-Packard in-house distribution to one of Ryder's largest domestic pick-pack shipping operations. Led conversion of a staff of more than 400 employees, training, DM metrics and P&L performance. Re-designed the building infrastructure to include installation of a 320-foot long, three-level Bushman automated pick module, re-racking, design, configuration and conversion to the PKMS WMS to replace proprietary SAP system. This seamless transition was recognized by senior management as one of the company’s most successful.
Led operational conversion for a new start-up account, Laird Technology, a $1M electronic components company in Earth City, MO. Converted 30 employees, relayed warehouse and consolidated Laird’s Chicago operation into this site.

Distribution Center General Manager
Led the conversion from 16 manual distribution centers to a network of eight highly automated “mega centers” over a five-year period and led daily operations of the Atlanta center with 500+ employees, a fleet of 300 trailers and 35 tractors.
Served as a member of the senior implementation team for the ground-up construction of the Atlanta project: 1M square foot 60 foot clear height facility with five five-level pick modules and the Rapistan sortation system. Oversaw building design, rack and conveyor construction and spearheaded WMS configuration and implementation.
Negotiated all carrier agreements, LTL and TL. Reviewed and selected Rapistan RS200 sorter and all WMS software.
Customized Catalyst software to compliment proprietary TRAC'S system; developed gap list.
Managed 99.5% fill rate on $1.2B throughput. Achieved .4% shrink.
