As Technical advisor with GE-Nuovo Pignone the leading manufacturer of Gas turbines and compressors based in Florence, Italy. Scope of my works includes Installation, Commissioning & start-up of the GE-Nuovo Pignone gas turbine-Generators and compressors at various locations around the world.

Travelled around the world to trouble shoot and fix some of the technical problems faced on the turbines and its control systems.

My last assignment with GE-NuovoPignone was in Qatar as resident Speedtronic Mark V / IV control systems engineer responsible for the commissioning, start-up, operation & maintenance of the GE-NuovoPignone gas turbines–generators and compressors BCL & MCL series in the entire middle-east.

Successfully completed the 2 years LTSA with TOTAL for GE-Nuovo Pignone, Responsibilities during the above period as Speedtronic MarkV turbine control system engineer includes safe and reliable operation and maintenance of gas turbine generators and compressors in the offshore platform FPSO GIRASSOL of TOTAL in Angola. Ensuring optimum performance of the machines, preparation and co-ordination for time bound shut down activities on gas turbines, preventive and corrective maintenance activities, reporting to client on day to day technical activities carried out on the gas turbines. Engage in proactive discussions with client representatives regarding production, maintenance schedules, and other technical issues

Start-up engineer for the commissioning of 150MW captive power plant in Iran, this involved interpreting customer requirements to ensure their satisfaction in all commissioning activities, carry out site acceptance tests, maintain liaison with customer to discuss on all the technical issues throughout the commissioning period.

Completed tuning of DLN1 Low Emissions Combustion Systems, Control Logic Sequencing enhancements on existing controls systems, perform control logic troubleshooting on gas turbines, upgrading of existing control systems.

Successfully completed the trouble shooting of gas turbine fuel gas heating systems using thyristor controlled drives.

Testing and commissioning of all the turbine protection systems like Vibration, Speed, Temperature and Pressure.

Testing, operation and maintenance of auxiliaries of gas turbines such as Starting devices like motors, Diesel engine & turbo-expanders, AC and DC lube oil pumps, Hydraulic ratchet system, Cooling water system, Waste heat recovery system, Compartment ventilation system, Air inlet system, Liquid fuel system and Gas fuel system.
