Major Oil and Gas Projects handled:
-ESD Migration at BG Group Offshore production platform (2013-14): Migration of Pneumatic based Emergency Shutdown systems to Programmable Electronic Safety Instrumented system (HIMA safety PLC). Responsible for the development of functional design specifications, FAT, Installation and commissioning. Participated in the HAZOP and SIL studies for the project. Performed SIL safety validation & verifications for the installed systems, cause and effect checks and responsible for the black startup of the offshore production facility with the new installed system.
-Phase II compression at BG Group Offshore production platform (2012-13): Participation in HAZOP and SIL studies. Responsible for adequacy checks on the field instruments and control systems. Installation and commissioning of the new compressor skid – Platform E&I support. Review of key documents which include various philosophies for shutdown/blowdown, start-ups & Cause and effect matrixes. Participated in the workshop for the revision of offshore platform Safety case.
-DCS and SIS revamp at Indian Oil Refinery (2010-11): Responsible for Budget approvals, Preparation of Functional Design specification, Front end engineering, Evaluation of technical bids from Yokogawa, Invensys, Honeywell and Emerson Process Management, FAT, Installation and Commissioning of Honeywell EPKS and Safety Manager. Safety Instrumented Systems installed were technically evaluated as per IEC 61511. OPC was also configured with the EPKS for establishing a Plant Database Management System (PDMS).
-SCADA for ambient air quality and Stack Monitoring systems at Indian Oil Refinery (2010-11): Responsible for Budget approvals, Preparation of Functional Design specification, Evaluation of technical bids, FAT, Installation and Commissioning of ThermoFisher Analyzer systems.
Operation and Maintenance Experience:
Hands on experience on the maintenance and operation of Offshore and Onshore (Refinery) Oil and Gas Processing facilities, trip logics and safety systems for Well head controls (pneumatic and hydraulic), F&G, ESD, Compressors, Gas turbine generators, Boilers, crude furnaces, Sales Gas and condensate Metering systems automation.. Knowledge on Root cause analysis, Cause and Effects Matrixes, Risk Assessments, SAP and other offshore/Onshore systems of work. Project coordination in drilling campaign for new wells - Participation in rig pre-arrival survey, Installation and commissioning of control module for new well heads, Multiphase flow meters, Field instruments and Hook up of new well tags in SCADA system - Remote terminal unit
