I have worked large organizations including the Department of Defense in the USA, Ministry of Defense in UK, Ministry of Health in Singapore, National Healthcare Group in UK and several Fortune 500 companies.
While working with Singapore’s Ministry of Health and the National Healthcare Group I was able to improve the system to deliver better care. I developed a process with Hospital Architects to design new Hospitals, Ambulatory Centers and in designing new Communicable Disease Centers.
While in Russia I had the opportunity to work with United Aircraft Corporation to reform Russian Aerospace. This is a government agency that is strategically designing a new aircraft and positioning work throughout the country to enable a more efficient better quality product. I was responsible for improving Design and Factory layouts for the Super Jet 100, Tupelo 204, Engineering Design Center and Composite Manufacturing facilities. Additional work was conducted with C-Level program specialist on building Aerospace Strategy for Russia.
I worked in the Financial for Sberbank the largest bank in Russia, where I developed their Business System, Strategy and implementation plan for a company that has 250,000 employees in 11 Countries. In addition I worked for Standard Charter Bank one of the largest Asian Financial Institutions where I was able to transform the company using proven tools and techniques that drive improvements to the Bottom Line.
I have served as a Professor in Moscow with Skolkova the largest Executive Business School in Russia that is supported with direct involvement of the Russian Government that teaches and trains Top Executives of major corporations in Russia. Companies include Gazprom, Rosatom, and Sukhoi.
I have had the unique opportunity to develop Strategies and Improvement plans for many US Companies as well, companies like Goodyear, Gillett, Theadacare, Alcan, Chloroplast, Vestas, Owens Corning, BAE and Lockheed Martin, focused on developing a standard for Lean and Management Core Team Development and Managing a Transformation within a Multi-National Global Companies.
As a Vice President for Simpler, I was responsible for the start up and Implementation of the Royal Air Force HQ Strike co-location program and the overall improvement of the RAF which includes a 1.3 billion pound result in just 3 years (National Audit Office confirms result), the Whole Navy Transformation and the United States Air Force in Europe AFSO21 program. In addition I was a committee member for the International Healthcare for Improvement, Ministry of Health Board in Singapore, National Healthcare System in England, Healthcare Foundation in England, Aerospace Conferences and have participated on numerous councils for business improvement across the world. As a General Manager was responsible for the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Best Practices within the Maintenance Modification Aerospace Support Center that supports multiple programs and sites. Directed approximately 20,000 employees.
Responsible for the development and implementation of a Pulse Line Production on KC-135 program. Through the Lean deployment the site has been able to realize a 60% improvement in Cost, 50% improvement in Cycle Time 75% reduction in product travel and an increase of 40% in space utilization.
Operations Manager, Wichita Kansas, 1998-2000 was responsible for the staffing, development, Profit and Loss for Boeing’s Proprietary process Buried Septum. Initiated Lean Practices within the operation that included the implementation of the Toyota Production system. Was able to utilize the practices of Pull Production, Kanban, Min/Max levels on inventory and supplier kitting. Improvements that were made resulted in a 30% increase in productivity, 50% improvement in Quality using problem solving and 6 Sigma applications, and a 50% reduction in inventory.
Served as the Accuracy Manager for Wichita division responsible for the improvements and maintenance of 98% or better on Planning Routing, Inventory Record Accuracy and Bill of Material Accuracy.
Served as Wichita Fabrications Quality Management Improvement Team Leader. Through the teams efforts we were able to reduce the overall defects by 35% using problem solving and 6 Sigma applications
