Curriculum Vitae

Education

**** *.** ** ******** Science, University of Oregon, OR, US, GPA: 3.74/4. 2011 M.Sc in Information Technology Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran,Iran, GPA – 3.89/4 . 2008 B.Sc in Computer Engineering, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, GPA – 3.28/4 . Projects and Research Experience

High Performance Computing Lab, University of Oregon Title Power and Energy Modeling of High Performance Computing Systems Description Collaborated with RNET Inc. to work on a new power/energy measurement hardware on HPC systems. Developed a compiler source code instrumentation toolkit to automatically instrument HPC benchmarks with power API. Proposed analysis and modeling for HPC benchmarks. Multimedia and Internetworking Research Group, University of Oregon Title Mapping the PoP-Level Connectivity of Large Content Providers Description designed a novel method (APL) to collect data from more than 1000 PlanetLab machines. Used data mining and graph analysis techniques to analyze GBs of data and map the PoP-level connectivity of large content providers

(CPs) such as Google, Amazon, Yahoo, etc.

Digital Multimedia Lab, Sharif University of Technology Title Mathematical Modeling of BitTorrent-like Peer-to-Peer Network Overlays, Master Thesis Description Proposed scholastic model for BitTorrent network. Validated with simulation. Simulation and Modeling Lab, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad Title Design and Implementation of a Humanoid Robot Locomotion, Bachelor Thesis Description Developed a software controller for a robot soccer player. I used genetic algorithm (GA) approach to optimize the coe cients of Fourier series that control robot joints. So the robot keeps its balance while walk/run as fast as possible.

Programming Skills

C/C++ I have excellent understanding of C++ language, compilers, libraries and UNIX environment. I know the details of data structures and algorithms in STL, BOOST libraries and TR1/C++11 and C++14 as well as UNIX tools. C# Excellent skills in object oriented programming with C#, .net Libraries and interoperability with other .net languages such as VC++.

Java and

Python

I have written thousands lines of codes in Java and hundreds in Python. I also was lab instructor for these programming languages. Please see the Teaching Experience section. Mathematical

Programming

I have worked with MATLAB, Maple and Mathematica since 2007. I have good knowledge of symbolic calculation, statistical and optimization packages in these languages. Selected Publications and Presentations
