Product/Service Manager

I am working with an IT company as Support and Service Manager. I am responsible for a FRENCH Product INFOSEC UPS system support and service in Pakistan. I arranged and conducted seminars in various parts of Pakistan to manage sales, transition and delivery of company’s products and services. Conduct market research and analysis to create marketing initiatives for promoting company’s products. Inform senior management on new product features to be developed to meet current and future business needs. Obtain contact information of potential customers through cold calling, internet research and emailing. Identify and qualify new customers based on company’s business model and guidelines. Self Employed, Lahore April 1998 – August 2004

I repaired, installed and assembled Office and Household Equipments like Computer systems, laser, inkjet printing systems, and upgrading computers, Installation of operating systems, like Windows 2000, NT, XP, Vista, Windows 7, windows 8 and general office applications, performed operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configurations running and patching cables, racking and testing network equipment. Provided support of network connectivity issues to clients. Installed, integrated and configured new computers, HDD motherboards, RAM, processors, video cards. Able to troubleshoot analog/digital circuits with digital voltmeters, analog multimeters, dual-trace oscilloscopes, and logic probes of testing, repairing of General test equipment and UPS systems, Fax machine, Cordless telephones, Telephone answering machines, long distance call controlling devices, Intercoms, PABX, and other allied products. My daily tasks include: checking drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipments to be installed attaching wires and cables to appliances, diagnosing faults in electronic equipments using instruments like ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters or Multimeter, and transmission measuring equipments, To diagnose nature of equipment malfunction I performed diagnosis like voltage tests and resistance tests to isolate faulty components using electronic testing equipments. Cleaning machine parts and replacing defective components, parts, wiring and reassembling, testing the operation and adjusting them for proper functions. I also used schematic diagrams, service manuals and instructions during the process of trouble shooting. Installation of Satellite TV antenna, cabling for networking, PABX, security systems, and Intercom, cleaning machine parts and interiors of machines and replacing defective wiring and reassembling.

Production Manager/Engineer

I was inducted as Support Manager and my duties involved in Installation, maintenance and servicing Intercom/Telephone lines, low voltage cable, Cable Terminals, protective devices, and related equipment. Troubleshooting, analyzing, and repairing defective equipment. Installing and maintaining multiline key systems, PBX’s, IT services and other non-regulated equipment. Completing all installation and repair-related forms and reports. Installed new services and equipment for customers by installing copper drops, Station protectors and network interface devices in accordance with company standards. Wiring new systems using appropriate tools. Logging field complaints and rectifying them, repair/installation of High Range Cordless Telephones, Telephones, Intercoms, Telephone Exchanges (PABX), Security Systems and Fire/Smoke Alarm Systems. I was in-charge of this section and 5-6 technicians were working under my supervision. My superiors decided to delegate me to a higher post and that was in-charge of the production unit where around 15-20 employees were under my supervision. I was responsible to ensure that production is streamlined in three main areas, which are as follows:

1) Electronics 2) Electrical 3) Mechanical

I was incharge of integrating the three components and to ensure that the products met the prescribed standard and match the customer’s expectation. I was also responsible for R&D, where I developed and improved products, purchase and procurements of electronic components from local and international market.

National Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from Plateau State Polytechnic, Nigeria.

Credential Evaluation Report by World Education services Ontario Canada summaries as Diploma (two years) in Electrical Engineering Technology from a recognised Community College in Ontario.
