JOB DESCRIPTION :

ROTATING EQUIPMENT

1.Gas turbine (Make: PIGNONE)

Worked on a gas turbine during OMAN LNG TRAIN 2 shutdown job under instruction of GE's (General Electronics) OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers).

Checked Liners, Fuel Nozzles, T.P. (Transition Piece), Combustion cane, Crossfire tube.

Replace damage parts.

2.Steam turbine (Make : TERRY STEAM TURBINE, DRESSER RAND)

Troubleshooting and Overhauling of different types of steam turbine.

Check bearing clearance, shaft run out, bearing crush, radial and axial float of the shaft, nozzle clearance during over hauling

Adjust thrust by add or remove shims.

Change carbon packing as per requirement.

Check OST (Over Speed Trip) of the turbine by adjusting Governor

Check Alignment.

3.Centrifugal compressors (Make : DEMAG, CLARK)

Overhauling and Trouble shooting of centrifugal compressor.

Check radial and axial float of the shaft.

Check shaft run out, bearing condition of thrust pad bearing and radial pad bearing, labyrinth condition and rotor.

Check the labyrinth clearance using by blue match or by micrometer.

Check lube oil and seal oil line and centering of shaft.

Change Mechanical Seal.

Check Alignment after assembly.

4.Axial Flow Compressor (Screw Compressor) ( Make : AC COMPRESSOR)

Trouble shooting of Compressor

Change Mechanical Seal.

Check shaft run out (Male and Female both shafts)

Check timing gears backless

Check axial and radial float of the both shafts

Check thrust pad and radial pad bearings

5.Reciprocating Compressor (V-Type)

(Make : Joy Compressor, Broom Wade)

Trouble shooting and overhauling of compressor

Change suction and discharge valves if found leaking or damaged.

Check connecting rod's big end and small end bearing clearance, crankshaft run out, crankshaft thrust, cross head and liner clearance, piston TDC and BDC during overhauling.

Adjust piston TDC and BDC by piston lock nut.

Change Viper and Carbon packing if found damaged or more clearance.

Check piston rod and connecting rod run out.

Change piston ring and rider ring.

6.Centrifugal pump

Single Stage Centrifugal pump (Make : United Pumps)

Fire Water Pump (Single stage pump) (Make : Jocky pumps)

Overhauling and Trouble shooting of pump

Check axial and radial float of the shaft, shaft run out, back clearance of

impeller.

Change mechanical seal and adjust compression as per requirement

Check clearance between impeller wearing and casing wearing.

Change bearing.

Multistage Centrifugal pump

(Make : UNITED PUMPS, BYRON JACKSON, WORTHINGTON)

Overhauling and overhauling of pump

Check axial and radial float of the shaft

Check shaft run out, Journal bearing clearance, bearing crush.

Adjust axial centering of the shaft by spacer given after thrust collar.

Adjust radial centering of bearing housing for free rotation of the shaft.

Check wearing clearance

Change Mechanical seal

Adjust thrust as per requirement

Check main lube oil pump

Fire Water Pump (Multistage pump)

(Make : PEARLESS PUMPS, REDDY BUFFALOES)

Overhauling of pump

Check axial and radial float of the pump

Change packing if found damage

Adjust thrust and centering of the shaft by add or remove gasket in the barrel type bearing housing.

Check wearing clearance

7.Reciprocating Pumps

Check oil level during routine job

Replacement of bearing

Adjust stroke of piston as per requirement

Adjust impeller front clearance by bearing housing jack bolts.

Check shaft run out with couple with motor shaft, with impeller

Centering motor for free rotation.

10.Gear Box

Adjust backlash if found more by add shim under bearings.

Change bearing

Adjust axial thrust of high speed gear

Check the clearance between screws flute

Change bearing and adjust axial thrust as per requirement.

STATIC EQUIPMENT :

1.Exchangers :

Cleaning by chemical & hydro jetting

Hydro testing of shall side and tube side of exchanger.

During hydro test if any tube found leakage, plug it, Hydro tested & box up

2.Vessels :

Opening manholes after proper Isolate and inspection of internal surface plate.

D.P. test of internal surface plate

Internal cleaning of vessels

Hydro testing of vessel

3.Columns:

Opening the main hole after proper isolation

Removal to damaged column trays

Rings, capes, repair at the same under capital turnaround

4.Valves:

Erection and maintenance of different types of valves like gate valve, butterfly valve, safety valves, check valves, ball valve and plug valve etc.,
