Responsible for developing lean manufacturing implementation sales opportunities and establishing contacts with clients

Prepare lean manufacturing implementation proposals for improvement in operations, engineering, quality, purchasing, human resources or other areas in the organization that have been identified for improvement

GENERAL MANAGER – Polar Corporation/Jarco Division, Salem, Illinois. 2010 to 2013. $23 million per year division that produces over-the-road propane delivery trucks and trailers serving the retail propane service markets.
Responsible for all operations at the Salem facility
Led efforts to introduce lean manufacturing techniques including powder coating technology that, reduced product costs by 30%, improved gross margins to 25% and EBITDAs exceeding 10%
Improved operational effectiveness led to annual sales revenue increase from $6 million in 2010 to $23 million in 2013

VICE PRESIDENT/GENERAL MANAGER – Progress Tank, Arthur, Illinois. 2004 to 2010. $30 million division of Walker Group Holdings – producer of tanks and trailers serving the heavy duty truck, refined fuel, energy exploration, portable restroom and septic service markets headquartered in Arthur, Illinois.
Responsible for all operations at the Arthur facility
Improved gross margin percent from 14% in 2004 to 25% in 2008
Improved EBITDA percent from 5% in 2004 to 13% in 2008

Responsible for all manufacturing operations in Illinois, Mexico and China

GENERAL MANAGER – Northstar Aerospace-Chicago, Bedford Park, Illinois. 2000 to 2003. $40 million division within Northstar Aerospace Corporation - a producer of aerospace gears and power transmission components.
Improved overall productivity by 275%, resulting in gross margin improvement from 12% in 1999 to 33% in 2002 – leading to an EBIT of $6.4 million for 2002
Implemented lean manufacturing, reducing internal lead times by 40%
Secured $163 million Boeing contract for 288 F22 AMAD transmissions.
Secured $35 million U.S. Army contract for 150 Apache transmissions. Created productivity and quality improvement teams to improve machining, heat treat, plating, system documentation and ISO-9000/AS-9100 implementation.
VICE PRESIDENT OF MANUFACTURING – Chicago Gear Works, Cicero, Illinois. 1994 to 2000. High diversity producer of commercial gears for the automotive, machinery equipment, aerospace, electrical motor and other OEM markets. Cicero location accounted for over $8 million in sales.
Improved gross margin from 16% in 1994 to 29% in 1999 resulting in $1.2 million EBIT for 1999.
Implemented ISO-9000 quality system resulting in significantly reduced scrap/rework, reductions in turnover, absenteeism and tardiness.
