Updated the design and documentation of the Bren 10, a 10mm semi-automatic pistol,
in order to bring the Bren 10 into production for the Vltor division. Updating included
SolidWorks' FEA computer simulation of all the firearm's individual parts impacted
by the recoil of the 10mm cartridge.
Generated designs and documentation for a helicopter armament mounting platform.
Generated SolidWorks models for FEA computer simulations.
Generated designs and documentation for AR Style Upper and Lower Hand Guards,
Assemblies and welded Upper Receivers. These parts and assemblies are being produced
for both military and civilian use to date.
Responsible for providing mentoring for pre-college interns and young graduate engineers.
University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ 2008 to 2011
Provided mechanical design engineering services at the University of Arizona on the
Lotis Project. The main component included a 33 foot diameter mirror..
The Wavefront Control Support Structure required a 95% redesign of parts, weldments
and assemblies using SolidWorks software. Generated tolerance analysis for all parts
and assemblies of the WCSS. Utilized ANSI Y14.5 (GD&T) to dimension and
tolerance all parts and assemblies. Maintained Microsoft Project schedule for all
models, parts and drawings.
The project was contract by Lockheed-Martin to be used in a vacuum environment.

Generated designs and documentation for laser diode assemblies. Created
designs and documentation for containers in which laser diodes were shipped to their world wide customers.
The Company's laser diodes were developed for commercial, medical
and military applications.

Score youth and adult student examinations for numerous schools across the United States. This was a position scoring examinations as contracted by the various State
Educational Institutions.
Chris Reeves Knives, Boise, ID 2001 to 2003
Designed parts and assemblies for the Company's numerous collectable knife lines.
Designed titanium knife handles and stainless steel pivots that were machined both
in-house and Boise area machine shops. SolidWorks software was utilize to design
all knife parts and assemblies. Performed tolerance analysis on all parts and assemblies
to facilitate production.
Teradyne, Inc, Agoura Hills, CA 1997 to 2000
Designed welded shipping fixtures that were utilized to ship 800lbs. Automated Test
Equipment Test Heads on Boeing 747 shipping pallets. Designed welded assembly
and lifting fixtures for utilization at Teradyne and at the customers' sites. Designed
shipping fixtures which incorporated shock mounts to protect liquid cooled PCBAs from
damage during shipping.
Designed power (110/220VAC) and signal (5VAC) cables for the Automated Test
Equipment. Cable designs were outsourced to local vendors.
Received an up-dated certification of ANSI y14.5 from Lowell W. Foster.
Received SolidWorks 3D software training/certificate at SolidWorks facility.
