Project Work Undertaken

“Laser Sheet Generation in Subsonic Flow and Study of Laser Visualizaion in Hypersonic Flowfield”

The laser sheet flow visualization apparatus was fabricated and used to visualize flow in subsonic wind tunnel test section, which includes flow over various airfoils, bluff bodies and many aerodynamic models and the results were compared with other visualization techniques. The laser sheets provided sharp picture in a 2D plane planform which was easy to capture. Also a study of laser visualization of hypersonic flowfield was done in which its significance and components were explained briefly.
