A. 2012 – Jan 2014 Brenntag Mexico

Title: Regional Manager Brenntag Mexico

Responsible for the P&L for three legal entities in Mexico with a revenue of $185M and 250 employees .

Changed the organization to accommodate for both commodities and specialties – “Two Business Models Under One Roof””.

Opened two application laboratories for Paint & Coatings and Construction specialties..

Negotiated a deal with a producer of water treatment chemicals resulting in that they closed their operations in Mexico and turned over the entire business to Brenntag, in total worth appr $8M in sales per year.

B. 2010 – 2012 Brenntag Central America

Title: Regional Manager Brenntag Central America

Responsible for the P&L for six countries in Central America with a revenue of $120M and 160 employees.

Changed the organization to accommodate for both commodities and specialties – “Two Business Models Under One Roof””.

Increased sales of specialty chemicals 15% annually

Successfully organized and led a team to win a $10M contract to design and equip a water treatment plant for waste water from a gold mine. The deal is the biggest single commercial achievement in the history of Brenntag Latin America

C. 2005-2010 Brenntag Latin America Houston

Title: Director of Strategic Sourcing & Marketing of Specialties.

Responsible for Sourcing and Marketing of Specialty Chemicals in Latin America (incl Mexico).

Appr. 30 indirect reports and 6 direct reports in Houston and in Holland.

Designed and implemented an organization for Marketing of Specialty Chemicals in Latin America.

Achieved and implemented several significant Turned Over Business deals with suppliers such as Evonik, and BASF resulting in additional sales of appr. $30M annually of specialty chemicals in Latin America.

Started Business Unit Polymers covering entire Latin America.

D. 2004-2005 Brenntag Southwest, Inc. (Houston)

Responsible for national/international key accounts in the Oil & Gas industry.

Designed and implemented a program of surcharges resulting in a margin improvement of 4%.

Personally initiated and executed two minor acquisitions (asset deals).

Negotiated several Turned Over Business deals, amongst others AKZO’s sales of Hydrogen Peroxide to small and medium customers in Sweden. The deal included the takeover of fixed assets such as tanks etc and the construction of a dilution plant.
