As a general manager, I had many responsibilities including but certainly not limited to maintaining a safe and fair environment for all employees. Creating and posting bi-weekly schedules, ensuring tasks were delegated and executed properly and in a timely fashion, making sure each customer received excellent service. I was also responsible for revenue and making sure all monies were accounted for at the end of the day. I made sure the correct deposits were deposited in the appropriate account, as well as made sure we didn't go over store budget. As a lead teacher I was responsible for 25 students. Creating a safe, fun and loving environment for them was my priority. I created as well as followed weekly lesson plans, teaching students various areas of study such as math, reading, spelling, science, life skills etc. I administered tests in which I would have meetings with all parents to go over results. I also trained colleagues on how to talk to parents in a positive way when it came to negative test scores or marks. I assisted the front desk with answering the phone and giving tours throughout the school. I applied for the mentor position after working as a lead teacher for three years and received the job as well.
