ENGINEERING PROJECTS
CAPSTONE DESIGN September 2014 – April 2015
Project Name: Implement Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) Sponsor of the project: SCI Group Inc.
Team Leader out of two members
Analyzed past months of data from SAP to get dimension analysis, velocity analysis and volume analysis in purpose of understanding current flaws in existing system
ASRS was recommended solution for higher productivity with accuracy and densely storage system to solve space constrain issue that was found severe for current system
Multiple analytical analyses such as net benefit, future production rate and system, labor saving by comparison chart of current labors requirement, per square ft. floor saving and return on investment was presented in order to prove positive outcomes Achievements:
Yearly savings from the project was roughly one million by using AutoStore and Swisslog as vendor. Besides, $548,875 savings coming from floor space saving within 2 years GROUP PROJECT October 2014 - December 2014
Project Name: Goodwill Store Redesign
Team leader of sales floor redesign out of six team member
Used DMAIC tool in order to gain improvement with minimal capital expenditure.
Modified current standard operation procedure and verified actual and optimal task time using various tools such as time study, product flow chart, simulation and 5s.
Modified layout was proposed for sales floor using velocity analysis to ease on finding products from customer prospective which leads to achieve their SLA target WORKING EXPERIENCE
CASHIER AND RETAIL CLERK September 2011- Present
Shoppers Drug Mart and Canada Post Office
Delighted the customers with consistent and pleasant service to increase returning rate
Rewarded for convincing customer on signing optimum card as top optimum signer
Promoted from cashier to post office clerk for well-balancing the cash after an extremely busy holiday season following many discrepancies in cash-against-items-sold CERTIFICATION
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified from YDelay Group Inc.
Excel II certification from Seneca College
VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES
IIE Ryerson Student Chapter (Member) September 2012 - April 2015
Attended design competition as team of Ryerson in Dalhousie
Attended many conferences in various part of Canada as a part of IEEE chapter
