Skills

Experience working with foreign nationals (Honduras, India, Brazil, China, Russia and Mexico), since 1997, in a Business Process Analyst, Business Analyst and Project Management capacity.

My current assignment as Business Process Analyst involves working with business users, business analyst and IT Technical resources to identify a solution that meets business requirements as well as conformance to IT Strategies and standards.

I feel I have very strong problem resolution skills along with effective communication and understanding of all the necessary components involved. These skills are helpful in proactively delivering the desired results. Many times issues arise due to a lack of understanding. Working with the diverse resources allows a better understanding and possible avoidance of issues in the future.

I’m a firm believer in standards, methodologies and common process to improve the management of the project and avoid introducing unnecessary risk into a development process. I was involved in developing an internal process for Cummins to manage the interface development process (11-step process). I also have experience with SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle, ITPM (Project Management). I also have some experience with Microsoft Project.

I have Extensive Cummins Business knowledge primarily related to manufacturing applications, systems utilities and data management areas. Exposure at various levels of many remaining business processes including but not limited to:

Exposure to and limited use of ORACLE & ORACLE MVS, UNIX, data base monitoring tools Experience at data center operations supporting many critical applications and numerous users.

Data Warehouse knowledge has evolved over the necessity to gather data in support of business user request. Tools used for report development include OBIEE, SSQI, TOAD and some elementary SQL. Work History:

2002 to Current – Daniels and Associates

I provided Business Process Consultant and other such services. These other services

included Project Management, Business Analyst and Resource (Group) Management. I

worked with International resources to develop appropriate business solutions for a

manufacturing company.

1997 to 2002 - Igate

Accepted a consulting position managing the Conversion & Interface team for a major ERP project At Cummins Inc.

My EDS experience provided opportunities to develop existing skills beyond the Cummins environment as well as experience new opportunities. I supported several Cummins production systems. During this time customer feedback was very positive and gratifying. I also served 3 years as the SE Supervisor for the Maintenance group. I consulted for Cummins Electronics on the initial AVALON process and then moved into data management as an IMS DBA. All of these experiences have added favorably to my previous Cummins background.

Trained as ETI master User and utilized these skills to initiate the Cummins GIEA Conversion and Interface (C&I) Team. Managed this team of consultants from various companies and countries, to successful implementations of GIEA Interfaces (Legacy to ORACLE).

During this time I provided guidance and management to all the consultants used. The problem resolution, who to get involved, what tools to use, conformance to the Cummins Standards were all the responsibility of the C&I team. Very few of these consultants had Cummins experience. The coordination required persistence and understanding to work with consultants and Cummins plant site representatives at various plants both in and outside of Columbus. (Daventry U.K., Brazil, India and United States).

The C&I group was made up largely of Tata Consultancy Services resources from India, as well as team members from Honduras, Mexico and the U.S. All from various different consulting companies (Profound, SSI, Mastech, Computer Horizons, etc.)

I worked with various sales resources from the consulting services to allow staffing with the best resources available at a competitive cost. This required coordinating PO’s, time records, invoices and work assignments as well as other responsibilities listed above.

My role as an ETI Master User evolved to include technical and management responsibilities of the GIEA Conversion and Interface team. This team was made up of up to 41 resources from various work and ethnic backgrounds. The C&I team was responsible for generating the interfaces that move the data from the legacy applications the ORACLE Manufacturing and Financial Suite. While in this role I worked extensively with Members of the Tata Consultancy Services (India) a well as a variety of other consulting companies.

Economic stress caused Cummins to migrate the support to off shore facilities. My role here was to negotiate the proposal and contract to achieve successful transition from the existing contractors to an off shore facility in India. This transition was successfully completed in 4 months time. Once completed, the management responsibility was turned over to a Cummins employee.

I feel that I have a good network of relationships at various Cummins and EDS entities due to the number of projects worked on over the years. I still maintain, support and take advantage of those relationships today.

APRIL 1994 – 1997 - EDS

Worked as an IMS DBA in a complex IMS database environment. Using in-house developed tools (CLIST, etc.). managed many of the 2000 databases Cummins has defined. This required reorgs each week for space management as well as requested changes to both a test and production environment. Recording and tracking of production database abuses (testing against production databases), modifying in-house tools to perform as desired, assisting developers with IMS training, conformance to Cummins Standards, reviewing for efficiency and general coaching on how-to’s.

1966-1994

Various assignments at Cummins Inc.

1966 - Data Center – Distribution, EAM, Computer Operator, SR. Operator

1974 – 1989 - Transferred to systems area and trained on COBOL mainframe programming. I performed a variety of programming tasks, development center support and production support services. I transitioned to EDS in NOV 1989 at the same job I was performing with Cummins.
