TRANSWEST MONGOLIA, LLC – Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (Expatriate Status) Director, Human Resources and OHSE, June 2011 – June 2012 Contract position to lead the HR and OHSE organization for the Mongolian subsidiary of SMS Equipment, based out of Edmonton, Canada. Significant HR responsibilities include, but are not limited to, expatriate administration, nationalization initiatives, technical and vocational training, as well as policy and procedure development that corresponds with those of the Mongolian Government.

Senior International Human Resource Manager, May 2006 – November 2010 Recruited to lead HR employment initiatives in support of $3.4 billion dollar LNG plant and pipeline project. Role expanded to provide HR leadership and strategic guidance to all International and Domestic Business Units. Customer support included day-to-day interface with executive leadership and local HR staff. HR management responsibilities included offices in Peru, Yemen, Oman, United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Mexico, Romania and Iraq. Key Accomplishments:

Implemented and lead the Nationalization employment program in Peru that resulted in 60% of positions staffed with Peruvian Nationals when the Melchorita plant started up in June 2010. This is an unprecedented milestone in that it resulted in significant cost savings to the project

(average Nationalization at plant startup in other regions worldwide is typically 20%).

Lead the design and development efforts for international remuneration – base salary, bonus programs, long-term compensation, health, welfare, retirement and fringe benefits, in close partnership with regional/local HR, and consultants. Efforts resulted in streamlined compensation across all countries with cost savings of 10%. This was accomplished by developing a worldwide salary banding over 150 disciplines and 12 differing nationalities.

Partnered with corporate HR to drive the development and implementation of integrated solutions that enabled performance and ensured operational excellence throughout the international regions.
