Project Server 2007 and 2010 were used to conduct mock studies on enhancing communication among staff in the workplace. Project server was implemented to allow the project manager to communicate project plans and to distribute task assignments with team members. The assignment of tasks was distributed to team member home pages in PWA. Project server supports electronic communication over the web PWA. Team members were responsible for communicating status and changes to keep the project manager up to date. Team members were also responsible for updating their tasks status via PWA and the My Tasks List or via a Time Sheet. A project Workspace was also created as a Microsoft SharePoint Team site where the project team could share documents, issues and risks. The objective was to create a study using Project Server 2007 and 2010 to enhance interpersonal communication among team members. The outcome of the study indicated that Server 2007 and 2010 were the most efficient and effective ways to distribute tasks among team members and improve interpersonal communication by making team members aware of changes as well as potential risks. Excel and Spreadsheet were also used in this study to create financial statements to determine profit and loss and to determine the most cost efficient way to reduce expenses incurred by the healthcare facility. Spreadsheet was also used to create team member time sheets and as an information management tool to determine project status reports, contact lists, and invoicing. The use of formulas with Excel made it easy for team members to calculate profits and expenses and allowed team members to communicate more effectively. Right Pathways, LLC…..

Post Graduate Student/ Healthcare Administration

Jones International University

February 2012 – October 2012 (9 months) Centennial, Colorado: Full time post- graduate student. After earning my MHA, Master of Science in Human Services, from Capella University I pursued a post-graduate business certificate in Healthcare Administration. My studies included an in-depth analysis of the HIPAA Act where I learned about patient privacy and healthcare management. I conducted mock studies on case scenarios that involved medical malpractice. I also used power point presentation to conduct research findings on ethics in the workplace environment and managing the healthcare professional in healthcare settings such as hospitals, outpatient centers, and physician offices. My research findings indicated that a lack of interdepartmental communication among staff members and employee noncompliance to HIPAA lead to wrong patient information that ultimately resulted in wrong patient procedure being conducted on patients mainly in hospitals. My post graduate studies also included a final project on emerging technologies such as telemedicine. I gained in-depth knowledge on the Patient Privacy Act and the importance of patient EMR's (electronic medical records).Graduated with high honors and received Business Certificate in Healthcare Administration.
