Manager, Manufacturing (Cellular/PCS Repair and Service) - Responsible for the Repair Technical Management and strategic factory direction of a 500,000 units per month capacity manufacturing (CDMA) technology cellular phones. Leadership responsibilities include managing an organization of 175 Engineers, Technicians and Test operators while directing both production and repair departments in their daily operations. Direct all new CDMA and AMPS Cellular / PCS product introductions for repair and serviceability from proto-type through mass production.
Responsible for managing up to six repair functions across four different shifts, as well as technical management advice and field support to Sony service centers in Rancho Bernardo, Ca., and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico..
Started Repair department from scratch, and built the department to be self-sustaining center that ramped to 363 employees at the Department’s peak.
