Autosys Project: This project was a strategic initiative of CCTS to move production jobs into Autosys scheduler. I was responsible for driving this initiative. It involves concurrency of assignments; the environment was diverse as the teams under CCTS have different tools and applications. The team consists of CCA, CTI, IVR and TAS. The Autosys project needs a degree of integration among the systems in CCTS and required collaboration of team members in various degrees to accomplish tasks

Prepare the estimates and project cost

Created a web inventory of the production and other jobs from all the teams under CCTS

Collaborated in the installation of demo version of Autosys client on one of our windows server.

Oracle Farm Project: The production and test databases were on standalone UNIX servers. In order to save the cost on server leases and sun’s HA Cluster (high availability solution), this project was initiated to move the standalone servers to Oracle Farm (Oracle Shared Environment).

Gathered the performance data from ISD performance team to isolate intensive jobs that may prevent us from moving to Oracle Farm

Farmowners (AIS-Advanced Insurance System)

Farmowners Application is a vendor (Garvin-Allen) quoting and policy administration system, completed with rates and forms used in the HBB (Home Based Business / Specialty) business segment. This application allows the HBB agents and underwriters to accurately quote the Farmowners package policy.

Lead the overall implementation of Farmowner’s system with Interbase database.

Involved in the meetings with Business analysts and DBA’s

Lead the batch process to send the NPPS data to the teams in Hartford.

Created and automated the backup process of the Interbase database

Evaluated the whole suite of newer version applications for upgrade

Lead the upgrade process of the whole suite.

E Reference:

The E Reference application was developed to display EREF Fan forms on the web using .Net and Oracle db. The fan form documents were stored in Oracle database. The E Reference web application had many performance problems due to the large number of joins.

Responsible for the overall tuning of the E Reference application.

Designed and developed the EREF update job on the Unix server to constantly refresh the EREF Fan forms.

The EREF web page got faster getting Fan Forms and other documents quicker. The EREF job that I created solved the performance problems and the web site is much faster now.

Clone development and QA databases from production db

Created Standby database from production db and also used Dataguard.

Contact Center Employee System (CCES):

The CCES application is the enhanced and upgraded version of Employee Information System. This application was written in C# with newly designed database.

I was the secondary DBA and was actively involved in the implementation of CCES application.

Created security roles and profiles

Tuned the performance of various stored procedures and reports.

Involved in system testing, tracked and fixed the bugs

Involved in the database conversion and migration of old EIS system to CCES Performed included comparison, movement of new objects to production. Also ran scripts to set up security, index and table moves and did validation of objects and correcting error conditions where necessary.

Many of the CCTS applications were developed in Oracle Forms 4.5 and Reports 2.5.

It was migrated to Oracle forms 6.0 and Reports 6.0. The release of Oracle 9i Forms and Reports enabled us to try web enable the client server forms. I was responsible to take two applications and web enable as a proof of concept to present it to management.

Installed and configured the Oracle 9iApplication Server (9iAS) software on Solaris.
