This includes development of a risk scoring policies and procedures, new client on-boarding process, existing client re-papering, and internal training and communications.
Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA): The objectives of the project will address for foreign entity accounts for which each of Schwab’s business units (Broker/dealer, RPS, RBS, SPC, CBS and OptionsXpress) will commence using new W-8 BEN-E forms; modify the new account open processes, check and continually monitor accounts for US indicia, and make tax withholding changes related to FDAP and gross proceeds. New W-8s and new due diligence process must be in place by 1/1/14 for new foreign entity accounts, and existing foreign entity accounts should be remediated by 1/1/16.
Desktop Application Resilience Project (DARP): The objective of this project is to support Broker dealer functions and regulatory requirements, over the years, various OptionsXpress team members developed a number of key business applications on their desktop. As a result of a number of initiatives related to the Data Center move as well as full integration with Schwab, several critical systems have been identified as a recovery gap. The messaging has to be identified for various mobile offerings – Browser, Downloadable Apps, and Text Banking.
Retirement Plan Data Integration: This project will be implemented in two distinct phases. Phase 1 and involves the integration of Institutional Retirement and Trust data to the Enterprise Customer Repository (Hogan CIS). EDE: OLB Enrollment Email Validation & Bounce back Enhancement: The OLB enrollment email validation and bounce back enhancements is a component of the overall Electronic Delivery Evolution (EDE) program of work. There are two main objectives of the EDE: OLB Enrollment Email Validation & Bounce back Enhancement project: Validate a new customer’s email address during the enrollment process and verify an existing customer’s email address through an enhanced bounce back process. Present a mobile notification to customers following a bounce back event, the next time they log in through a mobile device.
WFF Loan Conversion: The scope of this project is to provide full online and mobile banking access to WFF loans. Technology application will minimize customization and development efforts by leveraging the existing mortgage product’s behavior in WIB, Mobile Banking, OPS and APS. Information Intellect developed a radio-based automated meter reading system (AMR) which reads information from electric, water, and gas meters. The information was then collected to a central database and made available through a web-based interface. The Meter Mesh project was involved in developing an Enterprise level software solution containing various modules like Administration, Operations, Customer Service and Management, which cater to the needs of the AMR system in any utility company.
