Professional Objective:
Looking for a position with an Oil and Gas operator as an engineer with the opportunity to advance as well as put some of my diverse work experiences to task. Safety, efficiency, and creativity are some of my top concerns. Education:
Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge LA Aug. 2011 – May 2016 Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering GPA: 3.5 Minor in Geology
Professional Summary:
Freeport McMoRan Oil and Gas May 2014 – Aug 2014
Deepwater Drilling Engineering Intern
Researched 28 wells in Horn Mountain, King and Marlin fields to help the drilling engineers maintain their oil and gas drilling operations o Developed offset well diagrams to represent NPT (non-productive time of well), LOT (leak off tests) and casing set depth points o Calculated the areas average surface well location departure distances, max well inclinations, days-vs-depth, mud weight-vs-depth and cost-vs-depth to help the drilling engineers to easily review area capabilities therefore reducing non-productive time/increasing safety
Cycled offshore to learn about the daily operations of the Transocean Deepwater Champion drill ship as well as attended morning operations conference calls and all departmental meetings to learn the importance of meeting development
Presenting my summer’s work to the drilling, production and geology departments gave me valuable experience presenting in front of a technical oil and gas audience
LLog Exploration Company May 2013 – Aug 2013
Facilities Engineering Intern
Inspected P&ID’s to ensure that piping had been changed and properly documented therefore maintaining a safe work environment
Developed and implemented a procurement/tracking spread sheet for 900 valves and controllers to make sure that the refurbishing of a gas production platform was economically friendly
Documented the removal of 6 caissons and platforms out of Matagorda Island on a jack up rig
Worked in fabrication yards across Louisiana and Texas overseeing building operations to help maintain product quality as well as delivery dates to help make the Delta House deep water semi-submersible production platform project progress smoothly Woodgroup May 2012 – Aug. 2012
Operations Intern: Roustabout
Helped to maintain an oil and gas production facility called the “Who Dat” owned by LLOG Exploration Company
Oversaw daily oil and gas operations of rerouting fluids by using Programmable Logic Controllers and other automations
Worked on pressure safety valves and level control valves to mitigate risk and increase safety by keeping them up to standards
Witnessed the importance of job safety analysis forms when placed in situations where thinking quickly was a necessity, such as changing out a methanol pump in a platform leg in a highly flammable area with possible metal to metal spark ability
Took the initiative to read the oil and gas platform equipment manuals to further my knowledge of the present facilities equipment in use STF, LLC Construction & Engineering Company April 2007 – 2011; Summer 2015 General Construction Laborer
Completed a project bid for a renovation project for the Road Home Project (Hurricane Katrina housing projects in New Orleans)
Analyzed and surveyed land for potential construction projects, accomplished the leveling, and grating foundation of projects
Observed the processes that go into checking a structure’s integrity as well as collaborated with electricians on the best places to run the wiring throughout several homes
Maintained organization of equipment and tools throughout each project to ensure minimal lost time between jobs Sigma Chi Fraternity
